So straight up the service is sloppy. They are super kind and get you what you ask for but there’s just no… refined skills is the only way I can think of putting it. It’s a well-oiled machine as far as getting the food out getting the people their drinks and cycling through.. sit down and expect a luxurious experience but definitely a Tasty one!:)

The sushi quality is great. I like that they don’t over pack their sushi with rice. Their appetizers are good as well. The butter grilled squid and tempura calamari are a couple of my favorites. The service is also on par. The server’s are attentive and pleasant. I’ve been here 4 times; the food quality and service have been consistent every time.

Umi AYCE Sushi is a welcome upgrade from what used to be Joe’s. The sushi was fresh and flavorful, and I especially enjoyed the rice-less rolls—they were a nice touch. The appetizers were great, and the limited-per-person items were definitely worth it. Service was friendly and quick, with dishes coming out in good time. Overall, a solid spot for all-you-can-eat sushi that I’d happily come back to.
My only 4⭐ gripe is with the old teppanyaki tables that were converted into marble slabs. They feel out of place and a bit awkward to sit around. It would look a lot cleaner with regular tables, but I understand it’s probably more cost-effective to keep them as-is for now. Still, a great experience overall.

This is our first time here since they reopened/rebranded as Umi Sushi.
The food was good, but not great. Some were a hit, and others definitely a miss. The sushi was great, and the tuna and salmon collar a good choice as well. The quality of the fish was good. The rice to fish ratio was excellent. The service was attentive and excellent.

Stopped by Umi AYCE Sushi in Lakewood for a late dinner. The place was easy to get into, and everything we ordered came out pretty quickly. We tried the yellowtail and albacore carpaccio, Crunch Munch Roll, Spicy Tuna handroll, a couple of baked rolls, and some sashimi. The carpaccio was my favorite of the night, and the Crunch Munch Roll and Spicy Tuna handroll stood out, too. Everything tasted fresh and was prepared well. Portions were what you’d expect from an AYCE spot. Service was friendly, and the pricing felt reasonable for the amount of choices on the menu. It’s a solid option if you’re in the Lakewood area and want sushi. Overall, I had a good experience here and would come back when I’m nearby.

Quality of food is good. They’re good at not overloading the piece of sushi with massive amounts of rice.
The mackerel was definitely my favorite, ordered 3 rounds. The spider roll is mainly imitation crab. Spicy scallop hand roll was good.
Premium selection is limited to 2 pieces each per person. Scallop was good as well as the amaebi.
I would go back and recommend it to everyone.
