If you’re ever in Barefoot Landing and craving a meal that feels like a warm, hearty hug, Umberto’s is that place. We came here for an early Valentine’s dinner, and every single thing we ordered was on point.

Let’s talk atmosphere: cozy, welcoming, and clean—with a nice layout, and a casual, upscale feel. The staff was super attentive without hovering, and the whole experience felt laid-back but special.

Food rundown:
•   Appetizer: Sausage, meatballs, onions and peppers—so flavorful and cooked just right.
•   The greens and beans were incredible—savory and comforting, like homemade.
•   Fresh tomato, cucumber, and onion salad was crisp, refreshing, and well balanced.
•   I had the chicken parm—cheesy, crispy, and comforting. The portion was huge.
•   The Veal Umberto with artichokes and olives was absolutely delicious.
•   They even bring out a plate of pasta and red sauce as a side—nice little touch.
•   Dessert? We had tiramisu, and it was perfect—light, not too sweet, and super fresh.
•   A warm cappuccino alongside dessert tied it all together like a bow.
•   Paired with a glass of smooth cabernet, the whole night felt indulgent in the best way.

The portions were generous, everything tasted fresh, and the service made the night feel easy and enjoyable. We left full, happy, and already talking about when we’ll be back.

Great restaurant, and overall clean! I ordered Vodka Rigatonis with shrimp and Charbroiled N.Y strip steak, both orders were very delicious, and on point! As well the Italian bread given at the beginning was freshly baked and warm upon being served! A+

Service was impressively quick and our waiter was excellent, attentive without being overbearing. The food portions were generous and satisfying. We ordered the veal parmesan and chicken piccata, both of which were flavorful and well-prepared.

The bread was outstanding, soft and fresh, and the beans and greens were a highlight. We even enjoyed it enough to take home a recipe, which was a nice touch.

The only drawback was the limited beer selection. No draft beer was available, and there were no IPA options in cans, which was a bit disappointing given today’s craft beer trends.

Overall: Great service, hearty and delicious Italian food, and warm hospitality. Just wish the drink menu had more variety.

Had the veal T bone and it was crazy good. Come hungry because the portions are huge, we had leftovers for the next day. Can’t wait to come back.

I can truly say I had an exceptional experience. The atmosphere was warm,cozy, very authentic Italian. The hostess “Shelby ” was personable and made my dinning experience wonderful. We took a group of 8 into Umbertos. It was incredible. The calamari and shrimp risotto were outstanding. The porterhouse veal chop might have been the best cut of meat I’ve ever eaten. The service was flawless.

I have walked by dozens of times over the years while on vacation but this was our first time at Umberto’s. Extremely happy with our meals, chicken parmigiana was one of the best I’ve ever had. The actual quality of the food was top notch! Atmosphere and service were also great. I will definitely be back!

Micheal took amazing care of us tonight, even bringing out a small plate of cucumbers for me! Food is always superb and huge portions. The only gripe I have with the place is the Togo boxes. Most of the entrees come with a sauce and it’s real easy to spill and have a mess of oil n vinegar.

Gianomous amount of portion! Unlimited bread butter, salad, beans, and marinara spaghetti as appetizer! The pork chop is incredibly thick and so does the veal steak!

So glad we decided to try this restaurant tonight. The restaurant was extremely busy however we were seated quickly. The service was top notch and the food was delicious and plentiful. (Thank you Matthew). Definitely will become one of our go to restaurants when visiting MB in the future.
