Great food with even better location now! I admit the waitress can be a big slow but she has her hands full with so many tables at one time. Just need more waitresses working at the same time. But I can see how they could get it each other’s way. Nun the less, I can wait cause it’s a great place. Wonderful chefs! Love the show. Never gets old. So many people with bad reviews but you know there always those few that leave negative post or reviews even when they loved it! It’s just those type of people you have to over look. All in all

This place is awesome! I have eaten there several times prior to last Wednesday. When I walked in I learned that you do not have to sit at a table were they cook in front of you. So my fiancee and I sat at the Sushi bar . The service was great by both our table waitress and the chef at the Sushi bar who gave my selections his personal attention. The food was excellent in taste and presentation!

I used to go here often for lunch. Service was usually good, but it was the lunch specials that always brought me back. However, on my last visit, the waiter swiped my card seven times for my single meal. When I notified the management, they said it was a rogue employee and they had already fired and turned them over to the police, but no apology/refund/anything was offered for the $80 charged to me. I checked with the police to see if any report had been filed on the matter, but they didn’t find anything. I had to report the issue to my bank and have them deal with it and reverse the charges. I really hated to lose Umami as a fast lunch option, but how the management mishandled such a flagrant offense really burned me.

Not enough food, had ordered filet and lobster and The filet may have weighed 2 ounces at best the so called lobster tail looked like it came from a crawfish. No appetizer shrimp in the beginning or fried bananas afterwards like you always get at a real Japanese restaurant. When I got the check they had overcharged me $3.00 for that poor excuse for a dinner, not to mention my wife sat there for over 10 minutes with nothing to drink and they where not busy. The waitress was a complete smart@#$ and demanded that I was to pay the 18% gratuity or I quote “we are going to have a problem” So the question is no matter what kind a meal or service you receive you still have to pay the tip????

My first problem was the small portions then the waitress started getting smart when I said something about it and left everybody with empty glasses but on the other hand the cook was awesome , He was probably one of the best and friendliest I’ve ever seen, he’s a keeper the waitress not so much.

Almost didn’t go here cause of reviews. Glad I didn’t listen. Fiancé and I went for lunch on Sunday. Fast service. Sushi is HUGE for the money. I couldn’t finish it all. She had the shrimp habach. Only advice is, anything with cream cheese has a lot of cream cheese. Otherwise, it was a good lunch.

Made reservations a week early for the room in the back so we could all sit together. got there and wanted to seat us at different tables and not in the room of course. also an hour later than reservation.food was gross. fatty steak, shrimp had thast horrible fishy aftertaste, chicken was good. reservation at 7 and we left after 10pm. ill keep driving to gbro and durham for good jap steakhouses!

Made reservations for 7:15pm. We were seated at about 7:45. By 8:30pm, we still had not even received drinks, no one had taken our order. We asked to speak to a manager. The waiter told us that the manager, Mike, is never there. We left. Will never go back.

This place has the WORST SERVICE of any restaurant I can remember ever receiving…. ordered sushi and sashimi and my food arrived after everyone had their food prepared at our table…. The waitress simply didn’t order my food. I thought it was just me….. NOPE. The people across from us did not receive their sushi appetizers, and NONE OF US received our soup and salad until AFTER we had asked for it TWICE!!! Bottom line…. this place is crap, and I’m not leaving a tip.

I went to the old location with my family and my step-mom she ordered the Salmon & Chicken, it looked so good. I had to sample hers and I was SOOOO Amazed at the flavors. All I could say was Dwayne is the MAN.
So we went back this time to the new location. 2months later or so. I couldn’t remember his name. Then Dwayne came out to cook our food — I felt like it was Christmas.
You Better believe it -I had the Salmon & Chicken. Dwayne put some Teriyaki Sauce on my Salmon & Chicken.. (Chocolate Syrup) is what we call it…Oh MYYYYY!! SOOOOO GOOD. Hey We took my huband for Fathers!! But it was like Mother’s Day all over again.. Lol…
I can’t wait to go back again!!
