Good, calm, modern atmosphere with good food and service. The size of the slices of sashimi are the thickest cuts of sashimi that I have seen. Flavor was good too. They have the most flavorful Miso Soup. Sushi rolls were good too. They have a great variety of dishes, rolls, and appetizers.

My partner and I both got an alcoholic drink, two rolls each, clear soup, and combination fried rice. The soup was fresh and it definitely wasn’t artificial. The fried rice was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. As for the main event: the sushi. I branched out and got rolls I’d never gotten before and I can’t tell you how amazing it was. My partner was just as happy with what he ordered. 10/10. WILL definitely eat here again. The atmosphere was quaint and cozy and our server, Kaden, was awesome. Definitely recommend!

A nice sushi restaurant (especially for Lake Charles). The Cho Toro sashimi came out beautiful and was soft and delicious! The Salmon and Tuna Nigiri was also amazing especially with the fresh wasabi! A perfect spot for a date night or even an quiet lunch!
One suggestion would be to use a little less sesame oil on the soba noodles. They came with a very strong flavor which was overpowering.

Vibes: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – visited today for a late lunch & about half the tables were full. We ordered two appetizers & a specialty roll each. Service was good & everything came out correctly & within a timely manner.
Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – freshest sushi in town, in my opinion. Lots of options from sushi & sashimi to hibachi. My favorite is the dancing roll add eel sauce & the seafood puff appetizer
Accessibility: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ – parking spots could use an overhaul. There is one accessible spot with no striped loading area & a questionable ramp with deep cracks that could lead to injury. Bathroom is on the small side with two stalls, one being accessible. Correctly placed grab bars & enough room to safely transfer with the door shut.

Went for Valentine’s Day. It was busy. The floors are sticky. Not sure why. It was really hard to read the menus as all the print was worn off. The atmosphere was dark and the booth seats are worn but they were still comfortable. The service was very slow. They must have been short handed. We ordered the shrimp tempura and it was delicious. But the sushi we ordered was not good at all. We got the crunch salmon skin and the shrimp tempura roll. The salmon skin and the seaweed around the shrimp tempura were rubbery and hard to bite into cleanly. The waitress forgot to bring the wasabi and sit sauce so we had to wait even more. It took quite a long time to get anything. We don’t think the prices reflect the quality and will probably not be back.

We were warmly served by Guy, whose kindness truly stood out. The green tea had a deep, rich flavor. The sashimi plate was gorgeous. We were amazed by the crispy shrimp tempura that melted delightfully in our mouths. The chirashi-don featured the best rice and sashimi combination. I will definitely visit again.

Although it’s hard to beat Hawaii quality fish, Umami came pretty close..I was impressed with the high quality of Ahi sashimi. It was delicious, the sushi rolls were also awesome, I will definitely be back.
