So let me start up by saying I went there on a Sunday night. Food was impeccable, top-tier!!! And get this we only had one waiter for the entire restaurant he definitely knew what he was doing, he took care of everybody. I went back a few days later because the food and service was so good however, the food was a bit different this time. We ordered the bento box, wings, and beef fried rice. Everything was good except the wings. I feel like they had been cooked twice and they tasted burnt despite the amazing sauce. You could still taste the burnt, over fried, dried out taste of these wings. The waiter was very apologetic, said that he’d heard that most recently and have advised the kitchen of this matter, but it didn’t seem like nothing had changed because I got a order of overcooked burnt wings. We didn’t even eat our entire order which I believe was a medium. Now the bummer for me is that unfortunately it only takes my husband one time to get a bad experience before he says NO to going back. I on the other hand am a bit different, I’m willing to give it another chance. I just want you to know that if you order the wings, beware because it could be hit or miss.

Best Korean fried chicken I’ve ever had! I always have to get the fried chicken wings when I come visit. I know the chef personally went through all kinds of different trials and recipe tweaks to get it absolute perfection.
The hamachi collar is one of the best I’ve had as well. One of the friends in our group said it was her favorite dish of the night besides the wings.
The pad Kee mao is legit, so much flavor and we totally killed that dish.
If you’re into inventive creative dishes, try the kimchi fries, interesting way to make loaded fries. All the sushi rolls that we ordered were delicious, chef’s kiss “mwah”!

Fantastic food, cozy atmosphere, and attentive service! The staff greeted us with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. We sampled several dishes, all of which were delicious — especially the Spicy Korean Fried Chicken and Pad Kee Mao, which were absolutely outstanding. The Hamachi Kama was tender and perfectly grilled, and the sashimi was fresh and clean. Great variety and beautifully executed flavors. We’d definitely come back!

This was our first time here, we ordered medium size (10 pieces) Korean fried chicken; half soy garlic and half spicy. I think some of the dishes are expensive compared to the portions. My husband ordered beef bulgogi and he liked it. The atmosphere was amazing, it was clean with a hand washing station which is so awesome!

Umami is always great! I love the combination of very good sushi and a large crsft beer selection. The rolls are really good, as is the nigiri. The available udon and bento boxes mean kids can be happy, too!

First time here and it didn’t disappoint. I’m a huge fan of great customer service and Michelle gave us top notch service. I went with some friends that are regulars here and we sat at the bar and Michelle took great care of us. She remembered their names and orders from previous visits and she recommended the sushi boat since the 4 of us were considering sushi. It came with a salad or soup, which I was not expecting and made the overall experience even better. $16 for sushi and a salad or soup is a great deal in my opinion, plus the sushi was excellent! If you’re looking for great food at a great price with excellent service, look no further than Umami Asian Fusion! You won’t be disappointed, I promise.

Pros:
1. The bibimbap smelled really good.
2. They have a sauce bar which was cool, but you gotta figure that out on your own.
3. The beer bucket price was very reasonable.
Cons:
1. Maybe they were having an off night, but the service here sucked. I don’t think they had enough servers. The one they had was bussing tables, cleaning dishes, and trying to keep up with the tables.
2. The pho didn’t come with all of the accoutrements. It was different than I was expecting and the broth didn’t have any depth.
3. Appetizer was cold.
Overall, I would maybe return to have some beers and maybe try some different items.

Everything about this restaurant is PHENOMENAL! First and foremost, the atmosphere is great; It’s sleek, clean, and comfortable. The menu has so many great choices, and the food was delicious. My husband loved the spicy pork bulgogi, and I loved the sweet beef bulgogi. To be completely honest, the star of the show is the Korean Fried Chicken….It will change your life, TRY IT. The staff are friendly and gave great recommendations. This is a hidden treasure in the South Nashville area…My sons who are 4 and 6, also had a great experience here, so it’s a great spot for families with small kids.
In addition to everything I mentioned above, this is also the perfect spot for a Birthday celebration! Tonight it was adults only and Michelle and her team were absolutely awesome!
