We came here all the way from Philly and I swear this is now one of my favorite dining experiences. The food was so fresh and delicious. The kitchen was run so efficiently. It’s an open kitchen and we sat at the sushi bar able to see everyone at work. It was so impressive. The service was friendly and quick. Literally everything we tried was incredible and I would travel just to go back here. Worth every penny.

The atmosphere and staff here were excellent. It was a spacious restaurant with nice ambiance. The food was tasteful but too strongly flavored with the sauces. We ordered okonomiyaki and variety of grilled skewers. The gyudon was surprisingly drenched in the bbq sauce. For two people, came out to be about $35 per person. Overall I would recommend to first time goers.

Overall not bad experience, the staff was nice and the ambience was relaxing. We didn’t have to wait terribly long for a Saturday night, and the service was pretty timely.

We came across this place online and feel so glad we came! The bacon quail eggs and beef robatayaki were the best among what we ordered. Sashimi was very fresh and tasty with their special soy sauce.

Umami is possibly the best sushi that I have ever had in the US. You can taste the freshness and the quality of the fish and other ingredients. For saki, try the plumb saki, t was delicious.

Not to be dramatic, but Umami changed my life. I’ve been a vegetarian/pescatarian for approximately 9 years, but I eat meat on special occasions or for cultural purposes. When I tell you I saw god when I took that first bite of pork belly, that’s no lie. I love the service, the atmosphere, and the family style dining. Amazing. The only down side is that it’s definitely not a disabled-friendly building (lots of narrow stairs and no ramp or elevator). I would love if they could open another location in the future that’s more accessible, because gd does that food deserve to be shared with the world.

Writing this review in the car as soon as I got out because they were AMAZING! My boyfriend was out of town and we decided to try this spot, thank god we did! The waitress serving sushi bar was so attentive, efficient, and nice. The sushi chef tonight was also so talented! The quality here for the nigiri is unparalleled with anything I have had in the U.S. Atmosphere was so fun and matched the entire theme of the restaurant well. The whole staff was killing it tonight, they were all so sweet!

Great sashimi! We definitely enjoyed Umami. The food was fantastic and so was the service. The soursop mocktail was delicious. Taiyaki was the perfect way to end the meal.
