This was a pretty decent spot for ramen considering there are not a whole lot in the Lisle area. There is shared parking. They have a decent amount of seating, I don’t think they get super busy. They also have a special Chinese menu so I guess this is a good Chinese and Japanese place. I’ll have to return to try their Chinese dishes. We ordered gyoza, kaarage shoyu ramen, and tonkotsu ramen. The broths were well seasoned. The kaarage chicken was very juicy in the middle and crispy on the outside. The chashu was very tender and little chew. Gyozas were tasty. They had a nice crunch to them. Service was okay, not much of a service. Prices were good.

My friend recommended this place to me. At the beginning, I was doubting as it looks more like Japanese restaurant to me. But still I wanted to give it a try.
My husband and I had the traditional Human beef rice noodle and beef ribs noodle! It’s so good! It’s a big bowl of noodles and has so many beef meat. The rice noodles is soaked with the beaf broth and it is so soft and smooth. The beaf is so flavorful and not dry at all. We almost ate the bowl!
The lady is so nice and attentive! She even offered us a free miso soup after we finished the noodle.
The restaurant is very clean relaxing and cozy. I love the wood seat table and ratten style.
Highly recommend this place if you’re interested in authentic Human style food!

My family and I recently dined at the ramen noodle restaurant in Lisle, IL. They just added several traditional Chinese noodle dishes with authentic flavors and ingredients from Hunan, Changde, and we loved them!
The staff was very friendly, and the menu offers both authentic and high quality Japanese ramen and traditional Chinese rice noodles. We really enjoyed our dinning experience there. We’re already looking forward to going back again soon.
I highly recommend this restaurant, especially these spicy noodle soup dishes that we had if you are a spicy food and Hunan cuisine lover, even though they have a variety of dishes including non spicy ones too.

My friend and I went to the restaurant yesterday, they now also serve Chinese Rice noodle with beef short ribs and beef, the meat super tasty and tender, you can order spicy or not spicy options. We also love the fried Tofu appetizer. Yum!!!! Really enjoy the foods and friendly service!

This was my first time eating at Umaka and it was absolutely delicious! My sister and I came in for a late dinner around 9pm when they usually close, but they stayed open late for us so we could dine in! The restaurant was so clean with a relaxing and fun ambiance, the employee who helped us was so kind and thoughtful, and the food was incredible! We ordered a brown sugar bubble tea, chicken ramen, and crab rangoons. Everything was outstanding and we even received this delicious candy cookie at the end of our meal. We absolutely loved our experience at Umaka and highly recommend dining here! We can’t wait to go again soon ☺️

One of the most authentic Chinese Rice noodle from Changde! I asked if their Skokie location had the same Special Menu but apparently Skokie doesn’t have enough mainland Chinese so they don’t offer it at that location.

This is a fantastic new restaurant!! Great ambience, amazing food and service was fairly quick, staff is so nice and attentive.
We tried a few dishes, my favorite were the Takoyaki and the chicken Katsu curry!! The quantity of food to price ratio is really good too!!
I believe they are in the soft opening phase and the entire menu is not available yet, but absolutely looking forward to trying out the bubble tea when it’s available!!
