We visited Umai Sushi for Valentine’s Day with our family, and it was such a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was cozy and warm perfect for a relaxed family dinner.
All the dishes we ordered were beautifully presented, and the portions were just right. Most importantly, everything tasted fresh and delicious. You could really tell the ingredients were high quality, and each plate was thoughtfully prepared. Even the side dishes were well-balanced and satisfying.
The staff members were all very friendly and welcoming, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We heard that there is a new owner, and it truly feels like the quality and overall experience have improved even more.
To top it all off, the slice of cake we had at the end of our meal was absolutely outstanding honestly one of the best cakes we’ve ever had. It was the perfect dessert to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Whether it’s for a special occasion or a casual family dinner, this is definitely a place we would love to come back to. We’re already looking forward to our next visit! ✨

We have tried to dine in twice and both times were told the dining room was closed while being more than hour before closing, we arrived at 10:15 and were still turned away when closing time was 12am and even 1am. They suggested to place a to-go order however it was never advertised that you aren’t able to dine in. If we wanted take out food we could’ve ordered it online

Got this through DoorDash so I can’t speak on ambiance or speed of service in person, but the food itself was really good. I got the bagel roll and the tempura crab roll along with some Ponzu sauce. Both rolls were super yummy and the sauce went really well with both, especially the tempura crab roll. The bagel roll had a little bit too much cream cheese but I’d rather have more than not enough. Overall it was good and I’d order again!

This is one of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve been to yet! The food is delicious and the service is wonderful. New owners took over in January 2026 ( less than a month ago) and they are very attentive and take special care of each customer to make sure that everyone is having a good experience. I was a little weary because of the negative reviews but a friend told me that the negative reviews were from the previous owners. I am sure glad that I gave the new owners a try. I was not disappointed!

Such a great place to eat and vibe with friends. We’ve gone 2 years in a row now for birthday celebrations, and both times were great. The staff is friendly and the food is fresh, delicious, and doesn’t take too long to arrive after ordering. I’m looking forward to next time!

This place is always a stellar meal. The wait staff is cool and polite, the food is always amazing. I eat here frequently- the food is consistently good and high quality, which is a requirement for a sushi spot since they serve the raw fish. Yum, yum! Try the sushi burrito!

The food was outstanding. Great vibe. Impressive tequila selection. The only reason I gave service a 4 stars is that they were very young and didn’t know a lot of the menu yet. But they were very polite and willing to help. Got wagyu ramen and the wagyu came on a hot stone so we could cook to our desired doneness. Highly recommend!
