I thought the chicken katsu here was delicious! The katsu sauce it came with was delicious, tasted authentic. The portion is HUGE and my friend and I were able to save enough to get two meals out of it! It was 17.99, which is a little pricey, but worth it due to the quality and the amount of food you get.

Ordered the Pork Loin Katsu ($17.95 + additional 20% discount with the grand opening promotion lasting until 2024/10/13). Prices are on the higher end, but the portion size was enough for two meals, so it was worth it (even more so with the current promotion).
I was worried that the pork would be dry based on looks, but it actually wasn’t dry at all, and the outside was still crispy by the time I got home. I especially liked the rice, which tasted like sushi rice, and the sauce. The sauce did not taste like traditional katsu sauce that I am used to, but it was very tasty in its own way—creamy and lots of umami. The pork wasn’t big and juicy like the pork katsu that I’ve had in Japan, but I haven’t had any pork katsu like that in the states, so I don’t think I should hold five stars to that standard since Japan is on another level. But I was very satisfied with the meal I had here.

Ramen and udon are not great. Ramen is overcooked and not soups taste bland. Tried the shrimp tempura udon and it was served with what looks like Costco frozen shrimp tempura. If you’re charging $17 for a portion of udon, at least fry two shrimps fresh for me.

I visited twice before I leave review. The first visit, I ordered King Katsu and it was very underwhelming. It supposed to be one big piece of Katsu but instead they gave me two small skinny katsu. the presentation and taste was just okay at best. The second visit I tried to udon but oh my, do they even know what udon supposed to taste like?? the soup had no umami at all. It was just hot water with soy sauce. I’d rather buy frozen udon kit from Hmart and go home eat. I was so disappointed with this place. They seriously need professional consulting here.

Kimberly gotta be paid review. Slowest service with the most mid katsu rice ever existed. A queue of 3 customers took 45 min, and was told sold out of katsu rice after 45 min wait. Cashier running in and out the kitchens and ignoring orders. As if chaos has a physical form as a restaurant. Amazing!

2nd time eating here, was disappointed before when I tried early october, did not even want to come back, but they had significant improvements, the pork katsu slices are now thicker hence less dry, try the cheese katsu you wont be disappointed
