Today I had a delivery at Purina and on my way to Love’s truck stop I like to the right and at first I thought it was like a Chinese restaurant Japanese restaurant because I had seen the rice dishes with the meat posted on the front and I was like okay let’s go try it out then I get inside and I am greeted with a smile and aromas that were out of this world. I discovered that this was not a Chinese or Japanese restaurant at all but in fact a Nigerian cuisine restaurant and I have never tried Nigerian food and I said well looks like I am trying Nigerian food today and the man said his mother is the owner of the restaurant and he helps her operate I asked what he recommended and he said well for first-timers I would definitely recommend our Jolla chicken it comes with a big serving of rice to pieces of chicken and plantain and he had offered me a lemon lime drink and also had a choice between a hibiscus drink or a wheat drink that is non-alcoholic but made out of wheat it is a malt drink but I went with the lemon lime and a Sprite on the side. I have to say that His mother’s rice is definitely some of the best rice I have ever eaten in my whole life. I am used to eating rice because I am Mexican but this rice was special I had a smoky flavor to it perfectly spiced and the plate was served hot with a generous portion the plantain was very tasty and sweet soft and savory and that Jolla chicken was amazing in every single way the drumsticks were huge. I am looking forward to eating there again I will be stopping by tomorrow to try his mother’s tomato and goat soup do not know the name of it but I plan to familiarize myself with their cuisine because that was some of the best food I’ve ever had I am giving this restaurant a 20 star review five for food 5 for service 5 for atmosphere and cleanliness and another five for my public post all together great experience and I will be back thank you Ukoni 9ja cuisine

First time in Oklahoma City visiting from South Dakota it’s the best Nigerian food and it’s highly recommended. Very clean and the people are friendly. Go get yourself a plate if you lived in Oklahoma or visiting for the first time like me!

First time trying this cuisine and was NOT disappointed! Gentlemen at the register recommended some items for a “first timer,” and his choice was DELICIOUS!!! I DEVOURED the Jollof rice, plantain and beef… Will 100% be coming back to try new items!

Tried for the first time and really enjoyed it. I ordered the jollof rice with goat and plantains, and everything was well-seasoned and satisfying. The jollof had great flavor, the goat was tender, and the plantains were cooked just right. Solid food and a good introduction to Nigerian cuisine—I’d definitely come back to try more dishes!

1st time having this cuisine with a friend today – due to great reviews online. We asked the gentleman at the counter what he recommended for 1st timers. My friend had the Egusi Soup with Beef while I had the Jollof Rice, Plantain, and Chicken. While dining, a lady came out to check on us and explained how the soup was meant to be consumed, while giving us a little personal background. I usually ask which dishes are spicy to avoid reflux, but I didn’t ask today. The Jollof rice was a bit too spicy for me (I ate as much as I could), however, the plantain and chicken were good.

Things to know before you go:
1. Google maps will try to lead you behind the shopping center.
2. There is no printed menu offered. However, they have a QR code that will take you to the menu.
3. The drinks we had were served in bottles (water & Sprite).
4. It was very quiet – a good place to have conversations.

The Egusi soup was incredible but the Banga Soup was literally to die for and blew me and my friends out of the water with how delicious it was! We licked our bowls CLEAN. I will absolutely be back to enjoy more of these dishes. The chef came out to make sure that we enjoyed our meal and was a delight. This place just found themselves a new customer!

Nice dine in option for African cuisine. I appreciate the differences in the handful of African restaurants in the metro area. We had egusi soup with fufu, fried rice with beef, jollof rice with chicken, plantain

I spent almost $50 on the food not only was it over priced but they left out my side of goat meat and the side of oxtail was extremely tuff! the egusi soup is tasteless but still the best thing I guess my whole lunch wasn’t good!

Very tasty! First time having this type of food and it was wonderful, the chicken was super juicy and I enjoyed the flavor a lot! I’m bad at handling spicy foods and I was able to enjoy this. Definitely had a kick but it was very enjoyable. Staff is wonderful and friendly!
