My food and service was very well. The server took his time to discuss food options and recommendations. The dumpling sampler, garlic green beans and braised beef noodle soup were exceptional. I will definitely visit again.

Love food, interiors and atmosphere, only their credit card system didn’t work when we visited. The waiter who served us ask our permission whether they could keep my credit card information for processing, we said NO, then “We paid by cash” (later I found they processed my credit card, too. I paid both by credit and cash, lol. Later I called shop to clear up my credit card and they said they will, so People please wait, To be continued). Still good place to hang out with your own risks. – I can assure that they returned my credit back which double charged some reason. At least they are fair. Good to know. I still love their food, next visit? TBD.

This was my first time dining at Ugly Dumpling. It was quite busy for a Monday night, though it didn’t take too long to seat out larger party.
We were warmly greeted by Jaylen and him and other staff Chris and Katlyn, all made certain we were well taken care of.
Foods that we particularly enjoyed: the garlic string beans and cucumber salad. We shared those as apps. The soy garlic chicken was a hit.

The restaurant is very nice and spacious. The vibe is great. We came on a Saturday night without a reservation and waited about 10-15 minutes for a table. I’m not sure why, but there were a lot of empty tables but we were led to a small table in the back corner. We did order a lot of foods and they all came out at the same time so everything was kinda cramped together. Would have been nice if we were offered a bigger table as there were many available. I don’t know if it’s because we were in a corner, but we kinda felt forgotten a bit. Foods came out quickly but were pretty mid, nothing outstanding. I hope they improve because the space and atmosphere are very nice and inviting.

Went here last Wednesday. The place is nice looking on the inside. Nicely designed. The staff was polite and courteous and timely. The food was good overall. The calamari was so on point… so delicious. The short ribs were really flavorful but a bit fatty and chewy. The variety of dumplings we got were good minus one or 2. They weren’t for everyone. Overall we will be going back there again to try other food.

The food was amazing. The soup dumplings were nice, flavorful and juicy! The salt and pepper popcorn chicken was a delightful and simple dish that paired well with the soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil provided at the table. The chicken and kimchi dumplings had a pleasant kick. The beef and stir fry udon noodles were saucey and delicious. The food was amazing but the service was fantastic. Our server was Gabrielle R. She took care of us very well and was very very kind. She gave us great recommendations on the menu and was so nice and so KIND!!! She made sure we were well taken care of, and her hospitalality is outstanding!! Here is the photo of the Chocolate Chip Lava Cake it was so yummy and sweet!

I was really excited to go here but left disappointed. The food came out cold. The drinks were not adequate. The lights are wayyy too bright. The sweet and sour chicken was not tossed in the sauce, it came on the side. The dumpling sampler was confusing because no one explained which dumpling was which, so we were kind of going in blind. I hate to send back drinks but I sent back my Lychee martini was undrinkable, way too sweet, no liquor; martinis are supposed to be a stronger cocktail option. It tasted like 100% triple sec. I cannot get past the food coming out cold! The spicy chicken wontons were good, just cold. Our server Justin was very kind. Tho hostess too! But overall, I would not recommend going here because of the quality of food.

The food comes out as it’s ready, so you may get your entree first and apps last incase you’re picky.. I am not.
Plenty of selections of noodles and soups, as well as a delicious dumplings.
You can watch some of the hard workers in the middle through the glass as they create dumplings by hand.
Overall recommend and it isn’t going to break your bank. For sure worth a try if you’re in the Fence.

Honestly, the food wasn’t bad, but the service was not great. Host took us to our seat after waiting, to a dirty table and then told us to wait until she cleaned the table, but there was probably 20+ empty tables in the surrounding area. The drinks were very watered down, got the Thai tea and brown sugar. They also did not bring the drinks until half the meal was done. The baos had no filling and had to return back for replacement. We went like 1.5 hr before closing fyi.
