First thing to say the portions are HUGE. So if you are small eaters I would suggest sharing The chef even came out to check who ordered so much LOL. Thank yiu for checking on us, we just had no idea
The pork rinds were freshly fried, not a big pork rind eater , but these were delicious! With a bit of sweet and spice from the hot honey.
Never seen “Frings” before, but very nice that you can get a half and half basket of fries and onion rings. Lets you try out both. And both were nice and crispy with great flavor
Mexican prime rib sandwich was good. Love some meat with queso and jalapeno.
Chili cheese dog is a giant all beef dog topped with some amazing chili.
Will say dont let the area or signs deter you. Its a nice little place with great eats and good people.
We brought in our little dog and everyone loved him ❤️ He loved the dog bowl but was very big for a tiny 6 pound dog They even brought out a cup of water just for our dog.

Sp here’s the thing about the Ugly Dog, it’s a super legit dive/sports bar. The service is always great. We had Diedra, and she was awesome as usual. But all the servers are on point. Drinks are cold, plentiful, and almost always well-made. My wife is a Cosmo snob and likes her Cosmos made a very specific way
They nail it every time. We’ve been too high-end bars all the way down to the rinkiest of dives, but the Ugly Dog always gets it right.
With just a ton of TVs on the wall, you’re bound to find the game you’re looking for. Is not, just ask the manager, server, bartender, or any of the staff. They will figure it out.
And last, but certainly not least, their chow. Last night I went for the Philly Cheesesteak. Amazing. I mean don’t get me wrong, this isn’t the Capital Grille. But quite frankly, I wouldn’t order a cheesesteak from CG, I wouldn’t trust them to get it right. The Ugly Dog gets it right . My wife and my homeboy, Julian, both went with the wings. And both SWEAR that these are the best wings in town. And both are legitimate wing snobs. I would trust them. Julian, who first turned me on to the Ugly Dog years ago, likes his wings hot. Like melt your face off hot. The Dog will oblige that request. A lot of places can’t pull that off. The Dog can.
Give this place a run through, you probably won’t regret it and it might just become your place. Whether it’s for a drink, a cold one, bar food or dinner, a football/basketball/hockey game, or even a game of pool (yes the have multiple pool tables), this is the place. ✊

Ugly Dog is a great spot if you’re looking for an inexpensive, dog-friendly restaurant/bar. We brought our pups here when we came for dinner. There’s a lot of food options for a great value. I ordered the “Dirty Bird” which came with 8oz of chicken (smothered in cheese and sauce) with rice and beans for just $12. They have daily specials, including $2 tacos on Taco Tuesdays. We also appreciated that they have a menu option for the doggos, a small bowl with meat and egg, which they scarfed down happily. Our server was very nice and brought the dogs some bowls for water.
We sat on the patio, which was a spacious open area under a tent. The inside of the bar was very lively with karaoke, but the patio was more quiet and relaxed, which was nice. One downside however is the patio area looks over the highway, so it’s not the most scenic view. That said, it’s a minor gripe considering how affordable the menu is.

Great service, great food, but every single time I come here the music or general volume of games is so obnoxiously loud that its painful. Its impossible to communicate with friends without yelling… its a great neighborhood spot, but I would recommend bringing earplugs.
For the owners… I highly suggest turning the volume down so you’re not permanently damaging your clients and especially your employees hearing.
For reference 85db over the course of 1hr can cause permanent hearing damage.

Ugly dog has the best bartenders! Brook and Chris are the best bartenders I’ve come across in the area. Tuesdays and Thursdays are the best nights to come. The have karaoke those nights and the karaoke staff are the best in the business! Been coming to pick karaoke night for a few years now and it’s my favorite nights of the week to hit the ugly dog!

The fact you need to get patted down by security to come in is kind of off-putting (better safe than sorry I guess), but damn these wings are . Get the ‘cowboy bites’ too. Dog friendly!

Service was a little iffy. We sat at bar. ( not my first choice)
At one the comments made by our server/bartender made me feel rushed at times and we were the only patrons in the building. [ opening time]
As for the lighting in the place. Holy hell it’s dark. Turn on da lights. The only one that can see is the bartender. I’d go 5th star with better lighting and little better service.
I would return for food but not the service.
