This was my first time trying fufu and egusi soup. We ordered the egusi with goat, it was very rich and flavorful. Also had the jollof rice with goat. The goat was tender and delicious. I was expecting the rice to have more spice, but it was still good nonetheless. I’ll be back and ask for it to be more spicy next time. Highly recommend.

This was my second time at this restaurant. I got home and my first bite had a hair in it. I thought maybe it was a hair from my house maybe I touched my hair or something. I kept eating closely inspecting every bite and there was ANOTHER HAIR. I called and spoke with the owner and he told me there was nothing he could do because I had left the restaurant and anything could have happened. Which basically says I’m lying. He offered no concession and no refund

Great owner, I’ve known him since he was over on University by Earths beauty supply. He always makes me feel like I’m talking to a family friend. The food was amazing and made in a timely manner. I wish he did have more grocery but that will come with time.

Stopped in for some soups and was not disappointed! We tried the efo riro and egusi. Both with fufu. The flavors were amazing, though I might ask for a bit more heat next time. Egusi is one of my favorites, and they nailed it. The guy taking orders was also very friendly and made us feel welcome. I’m so excited to finally have good West African food in St. Paul! If you’re in the mood for something amazing, definitely check this place out.

My experience at UDO’S kitchen is horrible, they sell stale food. We bought a afang, jollof rice and okra soup all worth of $70. I regret going there. Take Note, most of the items on the shelves are expired items.

I was excited to see a west africian resturant within reasonable driving distance from our house. Best freaking egusi soup I have ever had. There has been some places where their soup is a bit too earthy or slightly bitter. BUT THIS WAS IN ITS OWN LEAGUE. Perfect balance of comfort, savory, and freshness. The guy working there was very chill and nice. The future and funded yam portions that we got was almost twice the amount of what you usually get from other places. But I mean that in a positive way. Worth the price imo. Definitely will be stopping there more for their food.
