Quick, inexpensive and super tasty. Udon noodles had the perfect amount of chew. The broth is seasoned aggressively so it may not be everyone’s favorite but it was right up my alley. The tempura add ons were hit or miss, but udon more than makes up for it. We tried other noodle dishes at this food court and this was unanimously our favorite for our group.

It was my first time visiting the Stix Asia Food Court and I decided to try Udon Yama and it did not disappoint! The fresh Udon noodles were very good and the soup broth was perfectly seasoned. I also tried the Katsu Pork Cutlet over rice with a brown Curry Gravy. I even added a soft boiled egg to the dish and everything tasted excellent!

Really delicious udon located in the Asia Stix food court (basement). Opens at 9:30 am even though the banner on the door of the food court states 11:00 am.

The udon and tempura were excellent and comparable to Marugame. Prices are similar (very affordable) – the benefit is that you can eat in under air conditioning and don’t have to wait in long lines either.

The cute One Piece drawings of Chopper and Luffy reeled me right in! I got the beef udon and it was excellent. Fresh noodles and amazing broth. Came here twice because it was so good and never had to wait long. Price is great.

A bit tricky to find. Its below ground level and located in a plaza that sells other asian food. This one was self service. You grab a tray, pick up your sides and then you order udon from a walk up window. Amazing udon, beats waiting in line for the other one down the street.

Pork katsu curry was delicious. The shrimp tempura was cold though, it would have been better if it was made to order or heated up at least.

In the Stix plaza. It’s nice that if you go with a group, everyone can get what they want to eat and just sit together. The BK udon was yummy, noodles were bouncy and slightly sweet soup bases was delicious. The udon prices are very reasonable starting at $6. The tempura vegetables are additional charge per piece. The batter was thick and not light. The tempura tasted like it was sitting there for a while and was cold. I’d come back for the udon but not the tempura.

We’ve passed by the restaurant so many times… Today we decided to eat here since it was still early in the day (11am) and the line was not very long.
I loved my vegi spicy Udon, and my husband enjoyed his beef Udon. We also had some crab meet on a side.
We will definitely come back again.
Oh and yes, prices are great too.

Food was good, the #2 sweet broth smacks! The #10 curry was a little thick but the flavor was great. The tempura shrimp was okay nothing amazing and eggplant all sides were a little over cooked for my liking but the croquette was on point.

The only other complaint on service is that the pork katsu takes about 10 minutes to make, rather than wait and give us both our food together they gave me mine and it just sat at the table the entire time. (Took 30 seconds to make). They should have just served us both at the same time especially given that my was almost instant.

If you don’t feel like lining up for Marugame Udon which is just a block away, come to Udon Yama which is located in the basement where you can also find other restaurants in a space called Stix Asia. Prices are reasonable if you only get the udon and none of their other fried dishes. Service was quick, you order the udon, pay for any add-ons, get your sauces, and find a seat. There is even an allergens list on the wall so that you can make an informed decision. Prices are between $6-$9 for the cheaper options and can go up from there. You can choose between a medium or large bowl. Taste was the same as Marugame so it’s worth it to check it out.
