Probably favorite dinner restaurant here! I’m sad we tried it on our last night at the hotel

We had the most incredible lunch at Uchu at Belmond Cap Juluca. The vegan ceviche was light, fresh, and full of flavor—absolutely perfect for a beachside afternoon. Pair that with a craft cocktail, stunning views, and impeccable service, and you’ve got the ultimate luxury lunch experience.

Stunning waterside setting with a very interesting menu that includes three different types of Peruvian food. But our food was quite bad – the chicken was really really dry (hard to either chew or cut), and the broth for the crayfish was super bland. The chicken was also $32 for 2 tiny pieces of chicken and neither crispy nor soft potatoes.
The ceviche was amazing though – would have ordered four of those if I were to come back again. Spicy, crunchy and the corn was huge.
Drinks were okay but all the cocktails were definitely on the sweet side. Food service was friendly but very slow despite the restaurant being largely empty – we ate in 2+ hours and we’re pretty fast eaters.

Firstly, the staff were exceptional and very informed about the menu. The atmosphere is very romantic and chill. The menu was pretty unique and came with a variety of options. As mentioned earlier the staff helped with any questions we had about the menu. The food started out great but the mains weren’t that awesome. My chicken had no flavour and was pretty chewy. Also the lobster my boyfriend ordered was slightly undercooked but it tasted great. The drinks were amazing and it had lots of non alcoholic drink options, which was a huge score for me. Vere was playing that night and he was amazing as always. Other than my main being tasteless it was an great experience. Perfect spot for our anniversary dinner.

The Ribeye and Crayfish were outstanding!!! Our server Diandra (sp) was great. The ambiance was warm and beautiful. The band was really spectacular and made the night perfect.
We didn’t love the appetizer and chocolate cake we had, but it could just be that it’s not our style. We would definitely go back for the entrees and atmosphere!
