Stopped by Uchi Ramen and Tea in Kokomo, and it’s a solid new addition to the Asian food options around here. The restaurant sits in a very visible spot with an open, easy-access parking lot that it shares with the neighboring business. Inside, the place feels clean and well-maintained, including the restroom, which is always a plus. Ordering is pretty convenient with their self-service kiosks, and there’s even a drive-thru option. I imagine it’s mainly for the tea drinks? I tried the ramen, and while it was good, it didn’t stand out as anything particularly special. The broth had nice depth, though I wish the flavor popped just a bit more. I also ordered the karaage chicken, which came out crispy and satisfying, but again, fairly standard. Service was smooth, and food came out in a reasonable time. Overall, it’s a nice spot to have in Kokomo, especially if you want something quick and casual with an Asian twist. I’d stop by again, but mostly for convenience.

All I can say is WOW!!! This place blew my mind from the flavor of the food, to the affordability and to the friendliness/attentiveness of the staff. I ordered the Beef Rib Ramen and the Chicken Katsu and it far far exceeded my expectations for both. The beef rib was cooked to perfection, extremely moist and tender. The broth was everything you imagine, extremely deep and rich with flavor. The chicken katsu was out of this world. Crispy, juicy and delicious. I didn’t realize both were entire meals alone, so I had plenty to bring home to enjoy later! I can’t wait to bring my family back here!!! By far the best in Kokomo and in my opinion, all of Indiana!!!

The Ramen was great and the service was very good. My six year old dropped his spoon and she had another at the table immediately. We very much enjoyed eating there and will return often.

Service was quick, came here for a quick quiet date. My Pork Ramen was absolutely amazing I got it with medium spice very flavorful cooked to perfection. The beef Ramen was decent but not as flavorful as the pork. The sushi in the picture as you can tell was over sauced I ate a piece and sent it back but it was fresh. The calamari had a lot of flavor but was not as tender as I would like. The pot stickers were ok. Not pictured my a Lychee tea that was very good if you are into the sweetness. Overall I will be coming back mainly for the Tonkatsu shou Ramen…I probably spelled that wrong .

In a word: Awesome! We’ve been looking for a Poke Bowl to replace our favorite from the last place we lived. We found it here, and then some. The food was delicious and the serving size was huge. Great, friendly service and drinks that taste like dessert.

Stopped here on the way back from Indianapolis! Sure glad I did! The restaurant and food were amazing! Very friendly staff that went out of their way when I accidentally placed my order to-go on their ordering kiosk.
Very reasonable pricing for the amount of food served! Will make sure to stop here again on my way to or from Indianapolis!

We loved this place! The food was SO good, portion sizes were so big we all had to take quite a bit home. We had the Crispy dumplings for starters, beef rib ramen, shrimp ramen with chicken, and the tan tan ramen, brown sugar milk tea, Thai milk tea, mango green tea. Everything was delicious! The service was excellent, our waitress was a sweetheart and the manager was too! We will definitely be back!

This restaurant offers a truly delightful atmosphere and some of the best oriental fast food/ cuisine i have tasted in Kokomo.
From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the comfortable ambiance and the genuinely warm and welcoming staff. Their kindness and friendliness added a significant positive touch to the entire dining experience.
I opted for the Happy Bowl (poke) and the takoyaki. The Happy Bowl was a generous and satisfying meal, featuring perfectly cooked rice and an abundance of quality protein. The flavors were fresh and well-balanced, making it a truly enjoyable dish.
The takoyaki, while tasty, had a few minor drawbacks. The octopus was cooked to perfection, but the portion within each ball was disappointingly small, almost negligible. The texture was also a bit on the mushy side. However, the overall flavor profile was still enjoyable.
Despite the minor issue with the takoyaki,
I was thoroughly impressed with the restaurant and its offerings. The prices are more than fair for the quality and quantity of food provided.
I’m already planning my next visit to try their ramen, which I’ve heard great things about.
If you’re looking for a restaurant with excellent food, a welcoming atmosphere, and friendly service, this is a must-try in Kokomo.”

Very tasty crispy pork dumplings! We tried the Tonkatsu ramen and the Miso ramen. The Tonkatsu was the best between the two. Portions were surprisingly very big. Their iced black tea had great flavor. I was intrigued by their poke bowls and some of their sushi rolls. May have to try those out next time. Very clean, very quiet space. Service was prompt and friendly. We were pleased with our food. Not quite spectacular level, but still very good overall.

Highly recommended! I am Japanese, and the dumplings and takoyaki at this restaurant—especially the takoyaki—tasted almost exactly like what you would find in Japan. I was truly impressed. I really hope this place stays around for a long time!
The tonkotsu ramen could have been a bit temperature hotter, but the flavor was great, and the chashu was delicious. My husband ordered the chicken katsu don. Since he is used to eating pork katsu in Japan, he noticed the difference, but still said it was tasty and enjoyed it. We were very satisfied overall!
