Faro opened his first pizza shop in 1978 and by 1987 had seven more. In 1990, he sold the franchise planning to move to Sicily, but the family returned to Grand Rapids. In 1996, he opened Uccello’s Ristorante Pizzeria & Sports Lounge on East Beltline, which has since grown to six locations. In 2016, Uccello’s Hospitality Group launched Herb & Fire Pizzeria in Grandville, later adding a second at Knapp & East Beltline. UHG now has eight locations, inspired by Faro’s philosophy: Always strive to give your guest more than they would normally expect. Provide people the opportunity to enjoy great food and the hospitality to match. You must always strive to be better in everything, and never compromise on top quality in any area.

We’re frequent customers at all the Uccello’s locations. This time was very disappointing. Zoeye was very hard to find throughout the whole time. Upon receiving our bill we found multiple items not rang in for happy hour, after specifically requesting the happy hour items. Once again Zoeye couldn’t be found. We ended up locating a manager who said she would let her know. The checkout process was a total of 30 minutes to get the bill somewhat corrected. We were still charged for additional items, like chocolate milk, after being told they were apart of a kids meal. She even tried to charge us for a ranch we requested but never received. When I questioned the 2nd happy hour beer not being the right price she stated it wasn’t RANG in, in time. Sounds like she’s was waiting for Happy hour to expire for the bill to be higher. Even with a manager knowing the situation we didn’t even receive an apology. If you do attend this location, I’d strongly recommend another server if you get Zoeye.
Update: 1/19/26. For the last few weeks I have been in contact with the manager, Katie, for the Rockford location. She quickly responded and attempted to resolve our dissatisfaction. She stated we would have in restaurant credit, but unsure if it was just at the Rockford location or if we would be able to use it at other locations. We visited the Grandville location and unable to use the credit Katie stated she put on our account. We didn’t have any complaints as it wasn’t guaranteed. We then revisited the Rockford location and told we didn’t have a credit. After that I reached back out to Katie and she apologized once again and asked if we would rather have physical gift card. We finally received the gift card and happy we’re able to use it at any Uccellos as we will no longer be giving this location our business. I hope they can get training into this location quick to help others experiences, it’s very disappointing that their employees can’t be on the same page numerous encounters and tries.

We have been many times. We always enjoy it. Tonight we have a server, Andrew (we are pretty sure), He’s new but did a great job taking care of us and our food. He kept our glasses filled and checked in on us plenty. Our food was great, as always.

I am not normally the type to leave a review but after tonight’s experience I felt I had to. I’ve been to this location a few different times and honestly didn’t want to go back. Tonight I gave it one last try and I am thankful I did. I sat at the bar and was served by Harley and I have nothing but good things to say about her and tonight’s service. Even with how busy she was I got my correct drinks and food in a timely manner. I also appreciated how she was so kind and actually treated everyone like human beings rather than just setting a drink down in front of you with almost with an attitude and moving on to the next person. If the service stays like this I will definitely be back!

I mainly sit at the bar. Well I enjoy all the bartenders. Liz’s sense of humor really hits home with mine. She is so quick witted and fast with service. I appreciate it. Been coming a long time and she’s got a lot to do with that.

Clean with many TVs on the walls showing sports. Waitress was prompt and courteous. Food was ready good and the portions were serious. I had a hard time finishing because of the amount. Two others in my party had to box up the leftovers. I very much enjoyed the service and food.

Today i got the Seafood Pizza with Alfredo sauce topped with shrimp, scallops and crab.. delicious. Also the Italian Cobb Salad egg, salami, banana peppers, roasted tomato, artichoke heart, Sicilian olives gondola beans topped with Blue Cheese dressing!

The handicapped accessibility is limited. The entrance door that lines up with the wheelchair ramp is locked. The 4 person tables are tiny, people kept bumping into the back of the wheelchair, and we hardly had room for our plates and silverware, especially when they add a couple platters of pizza. The acoustics are terrible and we couldn’t hear the person sitting next to us talk. The handicapped toilet is too small for a wheelchair. The bathroom stall door actually hits the toilet when the door is open, so the wheelchair user would need to climb over the back of the toilet to shut the door so that they can sit down on the toilet seat. The stall door should open out instead of in. We had reservations so we’re seated right away. The food and drink menu has a good selection. The service and food was great.

Multiple cheese lasagna wonderfully creamy and delicious however, the burrito too spicy to even enjoy. We took it home and deleted the spice with cottage cheese! Still spicy. We’ll not order Mexican dishes here again.

The best Italian food in town! Have been here a few times and never had a bad experience. The food is well cooked, and the servers are always nice. If I’m going to be finicky the only thing I would want is the risotto to be cooked 30 seconds longer. Then the softness would be just right for my taste.
