Faro opened his first pizza shop in 1978 and by 1987 had seven more. In 1990, he sold the franchise planning to move to Sicily, but the family returned to Grand Rapids. In 1996, he opened Uccello’s Ristorante Pizzeria & Sports Lounge on East Beltline, which has since grown to six locations. In 2016, Uccello’s Hospitality Group launched Herb & Fire Pizzeria in Grandville, later adding a second at Knapp & East Beltline. UHG now has eight locations, inspired by Faro’s philosophy: Always strive to give your guest more than they would normally expect. Provide people the opportunity to enjoy great food and the hospitality to match. You must always strive to be better in everything, and never compromise on top quality in any area.

The dough was chewy and soft, delightful texture but kinda bland. The sauce had a sweetness to it that I wasn’t a fan of but it still had great flavor. Solid cheese and pepperoni. We added mushrooms and they came out perfect. The other pie came out well put together. The topping to cheese to dough ratio was ok point.
I’d be willing to come in and try dine in next time. Fresh out of the oven from this joint might hit different.
Great breakfast! I didn’t want to just grab a sandwich since I had some time. I am really glad I chose this spot.
It’s probably been open just a few months now. I had breakfast, the Italian omelet. Ingredients tasted fresh and delicious. I added hot sauce because I enjoy a bit of heat.
The portion was huge and it was a great price. Stop by and sit a spell if you have time!
A large one-topping pizza was less than $10 out the door which is unheard of where I’m from, and the estimated 20 minute wait actually took a bit less. The hostess was very pleasant and was able to answer questions about live events at the business which is always nice to have employees that aren’t clueless.
The pizza itself was nothing short of incredible. We got bacon as a topping but didn’t specify how to cook it and it was still well-done, crispy pieces of bacon, not uncooked chunks like so many places! The crust was thick and crunchy but not overly doughy, and the sauce was surprisingly tasty.
Without even considering the value this is definitely the best pizza I’ve had in the area so far, but when you take into account the price Uccellos is an incredible value! Hopefully we can help them out with some live music this summer but either way will definitely be back!
