U Szwejka to największa restauracja w Warszawie i jedno z najsłynniejszych miejsc w Polsce. Powszechnie uważa się, że ma to związek z dystansem w traktowaniu rzeczywistości przez tę restaurację. Staying at the hotel next door, we noticed people queuing at this place almost every day, which piqued our interest. There were no reservations available on the first floor, and the other floors were fully booked, so we decided to walk in. Fortunately, it didn’t take long as there were plenty of seats.
Our first impression was positive—the place looked nice. We were greeted, seated, and given the menu promptly. There was a good selection of Polish and Czech dishes. We tried the rosół, which was very good, and the pierogi with potatoes and white cheese, which were excellent. The pork schnitzel was massive and quite a surprise. The flavors were very reminiscent of homemade Polish food, which I’m familiar with since my mother-in-law makes it often.
The only downside was the service. After finishing the appetizer, the servers didn’t clear the empty plates before bringing out the main dishes, leaving us with very little space on the table. Since the portions were quite large, we asked if we could take some food home, and we were given a paper container without a lid. It also felt a bit bothersome to the staff whenever we asked for something. The attention to customers was definitely lacking.
Perhaps it was due to the holiday season and the staff being tired, but still—it’s important to make customers feel welcome. Overall, the food was great, but the service was just okay.

Went here on a school trip and stopped by last night. Everything was absolutely phenomonal! Shoutout to Marta, especially. She was our server, and she was extremely patient. She had amazing suggestions and was super helpful the entire time, even having a sense of humor, which I personally enjoyed.

A place to eat well and feel like home. One of their specialities is schnitzel wich I reccomend as a must for eat. All suggested food is great also. I also reccomend to try pork ribs with honey sauce or barbecue sauce. Draft beer is also good one.

It is a very nice and big place. Food was very good and variety is satisfying. The portions are more than enough. Atmosphere and ambience were very good as well. The only thing I can complain about is the service. Unfortunately they are so slow and you need to wait for your beverage too long.

A very good Czech themed restaurant. Huge portions, good food, nice staff. A real nostalgic and atmospheric place where it is always nice to come. Though it looks touristy, most of the customers are locals.

Absolutny hit! Bardzo smacznie! One thing I would add and only if possible, would be to have a small breakfast menu?
Serving some eggs/bacon/toast? Just to have the choice. I understand if it does not interest you business wise as you clearly do not need to offer it but would be a good addition imo, if people were looking for something lighter but wanted to enjoy the ambience of the place.

Very big place that can seat a lot of people. Staff was friendly. We got appetizers on the house which included bread and some sort of spread. We order the ribs and snitzel which were very tasty. After we asked for the check, they poured us some sort of cherry shot on the house. The place was quite cheap for the quality of the food and i would definetly come back again

The food was good, and the place had a nice environment. However, the staff were rude and did not make me feel welcome. Also, there were no beef or lamb options available, which was disappointing. I hope these issues can be improved.

Overall, very good! Friendly and helpful service, nice interior design. I gave 4 stars to food, even though it’s really tasty, only because it lacks some less-fatty and calories-rich choices. Portions are huge and some of them would be enough for 2.
