We loved our experience at U Shogun! The cocktails were amazing and we could taste the liquor pretty well. Service was extraordinary!! The food was great, too. The only thing I’d change is the cut of the sashimi. It’s short and very thick, rather than long and thin like an usual sashimi cut. Other than that I think this place is great! We’ll be coming back pretty soon to try their noodles!

This is such a great dining experience!! That’s right, an experience! Having been an adopted resident of East Wake County, I am always excited to find new places to eat. So imagine my excitement to see a fine dining sushi establishment in Wendell Falls.
The decor is amazing and very upscale without being stuffy. The menu is has a lot variety to address many dietary needs. Please note, they do offer several Thai dishes, if you have any nut allergies.
But my favorite is the Vietnamese coffee. To know me is to understand I am a huge coffee lover and any time I can get a great coffee, I am happy.
This visit I had the Pad Thai with Tofu and have tried their sushi in a previous visit. Don’t miss out on this fabulous experience!!

Sub par food and overpriced. We ordered edamame and sushi. The edamame needs salt badly! And I’m super disappointed in the sushi. I HATE fried sushi and that’s what i ordered by accident because nowhere on the menu does it specify it is fried. Please do better and update the menu to reflect that!!I would not visit again. I would rather go back to my old faithful Sushi Thai where the food is great and they also offer BOGO! Oh the music was great!

Truly the perfect mix of tradition and modern taste. The sushi was incredibly fresh, the pad thai was delicious, and the cocktails were colorful and fun. I also loved that they had so many vegan and dietary-friendly options, it really makes the menu approachable for everyone. The vibe is welcoming and stylish, and the sake selection is top tier. This is going to be one of our new go-tos for sushi nights. Highly recommend making a reservation once they open!

Beautiful new restaurant in a great and convenient location. Everything was delicious and extremely fresh. Atmosphere was beautiful and moody for a romantic evening, although there were also plenty of TVs on for people who want to sit at the bar, but they weren’t loud. Pricing was fair considering the quality. We all know everything is getting more expensive, it really wasn’t bad considering. You could do an All-You-Can-Eat place to get more for your money, but probably not nearly as high quality. And the sushi rolls were generously sized. The drinks were really delicious too. Will definitely be back!

This place had an incredible experience, and the food and drinks were absolutely delicious! My favorite drink now is the Lychee Saketini and Kyoto Rise. I’ve been searching for a lychee flavor cocktail for a long time, and I’m so glad I found it here. They also have a wide variety of food options to choose from, which is great for those who want to try something different.

Finally got to try this place out tonight and I’m so excited to have great sushi east of Raleigh! We tried the rainbow and spider rolls so we could compare staples with other area sushi restaurants and they were spot on. The salmon nigiri was buttery and delicious. We also got an appetizer of crab wontons and one of our party got the King Pho which she said was excellent. Thursday night is 30% off bottles of sake and they have a good selection of bottles ranging from about $20 to $50. Highly recommend trying them out!
