We enjoyed the southwest egg rolls, which were amazing. Our meal was very good, and our drinks were too. The place is vintage but very elegant.

This is a very beautiful, old restaurant/bar. I absolutely loved the decor and the building. It is amazing.
The appetizers we ordered were good, with the soft pretzel being amazing to the mushroom dish being ok. The crab bisque was absolutely unedible. There was filling, other than crab and someone put way too much pepper in it. Two of us ordered the soup and it was terrible. I would recommend visiting here. Management needs to hire more staff and pay attention to food quality.

I ordered the crab cakes on January 23rd. It was my first time ever eating here. I have had the most severe case of food poisoning ever since. Two ER trips and a doctor visit later and I’m still severely unwell.. it has been absolutely awful. Please do not eat seafood here! I will never be returning.

3 other people in bar. Waited 15 min for drink order. Said we were ready to order. Server- a Jack Sparrow wanna be, was just horrible. 20 min later Finally ordered. After nearly an hour, no food. Told my wife and daughter and grand daughter to leave- I’ve had enough. Told Jack I want to pay for my drinks, cancel the food. Apologized, said he had the whole restaurant. Not true, main seating had a server- and it was another 6 maybe, people. Then, a young lady who said she was events coordinator came over to say sorry -something about cooks leaving!?!?
Asked for mgr- told they were all off. The place used to be nice. Other places in Hollidaysburg, busy- this place is dead. It was wing nite! Nearby restaurants having wing nite are packed. Years ago ate here 3 times a week. Now, just pathetic. Can’t rate food, never got it, service, worst. Atmosphere, dead. This will be the next place to close in Hollidaysburg. So very sad that ownership doesn’t care.

I made reservations for my husband’s birthday and Valentine’s Day only to be completely disappointed. The best way I can put it, is that its overpriced, dingy and terrible service. We were served instant mashed potatoes and microwave vegetables. There was nothing special on the tables for Valentine’s Day. No flowers, no candles, no nothing. Wobbly tables and served a quarter glass of wine. They must have been having a wine shortage. We were never offered any refills. I asked for a refill on my water which I never received and had to drink my husband’s water during dinner . What was supposed to be a special occasion turned out to be a big flat tire. Sorry US Hotel, but will not recommend or ever return.

As someone who has witnessed the ups and downs of the restaurant industry post Covid, I am very pleased to say this beautiful historic place is making a great come back. Some days are harder than others but this new crew has stepped up immensely. With new management and a new chef, my recent experiences have been very pleasant. The food is prepared more efficiently, tasting better and more consistent. Not to mention the fun new weekly menu items. The beer is always good, and the company is even better. I appreciate the good conversations with other locals and the lovely staff. Ask them about the history of the building, it’s so cool! I say, if you haven’t stopped by in a while, give it another shot. Don’t let the opinions of needy, impatient people change your mind. All it takes is a chance, and if you are not pleased, the staff with absolutely do what they can to make it right.

Food was fantastic! Got the fish platter best fish I’ve had lately fry’s were fresh cut and excellent. Wings were excellent they have a nice selection of sauces. Soup french onion was excellent. Portion sizes are very generous. Only thing they were out of was my brand of beer but hey 4 out of 5 isn’t bad. Had a very nice meal & atmosphere is very nice this 1800’s building still holds a lot of it’s historic significance and is nicely kept. Worth the trip! Sorry I already had started to eat my meal when I took pictures guess I was hungry. Better make reservations if you are coming here.

We had trouble finding a waitress. Almost left as it was obviously not busy so we felt ignored. So glad we stayed! The prosperous pumpkin drink was creamy and a little sweet. Made with bourbon. My turkey sandwich had amazing sweet and creamy aololi, think tomato slices, bacon and melted cheese on sourdough bread that was toasted. The side if Mac and cheese was so creamy and cheesy it was dripping of the noodles. The building appears to be an old hotel across from some railroad tracks
The window was sunny and warm. Nice for sitting at

We had dinner Saturday 1-26 I had French onion soup it was to salty to eat. Also my hamburger was cold and waiter did not put the right condiments on it. I was disappointed because it has always been really good.
