This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in NYC. And that’s not an exaggeration. From the time we walked in the entire staff was so attentive and friendly. Isabella, Linda, Lee, the chefs and of course the owner Luis. My boyfriend and I went for Valentine’s Day and you could tell how much care and thought went into the menu and the experience. Every bite was thoughtfully crafted and beautifully plated. Also 5 stars for the music. The playlist was just good vibes 🙂
Of the 12 courses I don’t know that I even have a favourite. The fluke and the waygu are up there. Thank you, U omakase for a fabulous night!

One of the best meals you can have in Greenpoint, actually all of Brooklyn, today. Besides the Mussel Cappuccino starter (which was absolutely incredible), every dish consists of perfectly prepared fresh fish, a combination of sauces and flavors that take every bite to the next level, and the kind of plating you’d expect from 2-Michelin stars. The one beef plate was cooked just right and super tender. A wonderful wine, beer and sake selection PLUS byob with $20 corkage – can’t go wrong. Will definitely be back as the menu rotates seasonally. A true 5 star experience from beginning to end.

Absolutely loved it here. One of my favorite tasting experiences. Food was great, service was wonderful, and I loved the laid back vibes. Every dish was fresh and different and made the whole experience so fun! You can also bring your own drinks (with a corkage fee). Cant get better!

We had an amazing experience here! We came to celebrate an anniversary and got the sake pairing. The staff were so nice and the pours were very generous. They gave us extra sake tastings, a dessert course for everyone and a shot of Japanese whiskey for everyone to celebrate our anniversary!
The food was thoughtful and well executed. There was also good variety amongst the dishes. My only con, which is very minor, would be that the staff was clearly very tired as we came for the last service on a Sunday night so we may not have gotten the full descriptions on some food/sake. It was still very good and would highly recommend especially given the price point.

the owner was so accommodating & allowed us to bring in sake & cake for the end of the 15 course meal. the food was served in a relatively short amount of time & presentation was beautiful. they have an open kitchen & we can see the whole process of cooking,plating,and serving – it was delightful!
The dishes themselves were works of art <3 they were a fusion of different cultures and inspirations. This wasn’t your typical Omakase dinner but you’re in for a pleasant surprise. Loved every part of this experience and definitely will be coming back here.

Fantastic omakase spot! I am so impressed by this place. The food was so delicious and prepared well. You get a bit of everything and it’s all so so unique and such a one of a kind experience. I love how small and intimate this place is. They only take small groups so it’s a nice spot for a date night or to catch up with a friend. I was actually quite full at the end, there were several courses I lost count! Service was fantastic and it’s also BYOB so we got a bottle of wine from a wine shop a block away. I really enjoyed the experience and will be back!!

I recently had an amazing Omakase experience at U Omakase, it felt like a combination of an Omakase experience with Michelin-style fine dining. The food was simply incredible – creative, tasty, luxurious, and extremely satisfying. However, there was much more to this exceptional experience.
Firstly, the hospitality. Chef Louis provided an exceptional warm hospitality, with free-flowing Sake and personal attention. The large U-shaped table created a sense of community, and before long, it felt like I was sharing a meal with a group of friends.
The overall experience at U Omakase was truly unforgettable, ranking among the best I’ve ever had. This hidden gem is a steal at $89.
I can’t recommend it strongly enough.
