Went here to get some slices of cake for my birthday. The cake looked super good so thought I would try it. First off the service is incredibly slow but the workers are very nice. Took about 10-15 minutes to get these three slices of cake. I also ordered a drink and she made the entirely wrong drink but we had waited so long already that I did not bother to correct the worker. The cake it self is nothing special. The icing is very sweet and pretty plain. The cake isn’t super moist but also not dry. For the price of the slices I would never, ever go back. About $7 for the smallest little sliver of cake and the cake is very underwhelming. I am very disappointed to give this review and I wish I could say more positive things but this was just my honest experience. I spent $28 for 3 TINY pieces of cake and the wrong drink… actually insane.

The large beef noodle with the soy egg was delicious and big enough for two. Rich broth cradles hearty noodles, silky beef, and bright greens. Very flavorful. Jasmine tea with boba jelly had a grand bouquet of jasmine flavor. It has an intense perfume essence that I found delightful, however it was far too sweet. The egg custard tart sports the most flaky layers I’ve ever seen in a lard crust, magical. The custard itself was silky in texture, lightly vanilla scented, perfectly sweet and evenly baked. The coconut macaroons (some call these candies, “haystacks”) look, smell, feel, and taste EXACTLY like the ones my southern Alabama Grammy made for Easter every year. I bought TEN of them. Don’t judge me. Finally the Japanese soufflé cheesecake could be a little lighter, however; the lightly sweetened, neutral flavor of the cheese seems to beg for a coulis or fresh fruit. I still bought another piece to take home, don’t get it twisted. I have some homemade berry preserves that need a mate. Finally, I purchased the Lemon cake for my daughter. It is a beautiful and perfectly proportioned lemon layer cake. I hope she lets me taste it…

My family has been long-time fans of the chocolate ganache and matcha-red bean paste cakes. We love that they added beef noodle soup (with bok choy, pickled vegetables, and optional soy egg), chili oil noodles (no beef), and milk tea drinks. It’s a favorite treat of mine to get a bowl of noodles and follow that with dessert. Last time we visited they had egg tarts for the first time (that we noticed). All good developments! We would love more Asian bakery options!

The best little bakery in Columbia. I love the Hello Kitty macarons. They were out last time, but oh well. The pistachio and lavender are really good too. Also, boba!

Disappointed that the chili oil noodle didn’t use wide noodles. Chopsticks were greasy. Milk tea was too sweet but you got used to it after a few sips. Prices on the screen didn’t match the actual prices and you were only told so after they took your order.

The black forest torte is nothing like the real thing. And it’s twice the cost you’d pay for a quality Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte back in the Schwarzwald.

I had the black forest cake, the red velvet cheesecake brownie dish, and the red chili oil noodles. The black forest cake was so delicious and I’m not one for sweet delicates ordinarily. The brownie dish was a bit on the sweet side, but that is to be expected. The red chili oil noodles were very good and the portion size for the price was fair.

Macaroons really over priced, lemon ones good though, but thai boba tea, had no flavor . We get Overland Park Thai tea all the time, and it’s delicious. But being the opposite direction we really wanted thai tea with boba, but it had no flavor, just tasted like creamer with no taste. The shop worker was very friendly and helpful though.
