We went to the Nordic Spa at the Alyeska resort and had access to this beautiful bistro. Hidden away in the Forrest was the spa and bistro. The food was great after a relaxing spa morning. Our personal favorite was the Hummus plate and the halloumi Sammy! Definitely worth a try!

Had an amazing evening with wonderful food and a friendly server! Loved the lavender white hot chocolate. All the food was incredible except the salad had a lot of rotten pieces of lettuce that they should have taken out before serving. Service is a little slow and eats into soak times so I wish it could be a tad faster. Definitely get dessert!!

The spa was amazing, its staff was amazing!

The host, busser and food runners were amazing!

However, our waitress was slow and rude. She wasn’t welcoming, she barely checked up on us. We were a party of 5, and when we asked to spilt the check, she said we don’t do that for party’s of 5. Which in itself is fine, it was the attitude and rudeness that came along with it. We seemed more like an inconvenience to her than anything else.

The food itself wasn’t bad, I enjoyed the chicken quesadilla and even got the lava cake. My whole party even ordered multiple alcoholic!

I wouldn’t return to this restaurant simply due to the awful service we received.

Similar to what others have expressed the Nordic Spa was a great experience, unfortunately I left with a bad taste in my mouth after having gone to the bistro for dinner to conclude the night.

The dining room was closed as early as 7 pm despite saying 8 online leaving us to eat in the lobby area. The prices are outrageous for the proportions and quality of food you are getting and they try to force you into buying food by denying reentry into the spa.

Two Trees Bistro served me unadulterated canned diced tomatoes and called it ‘salsa’. I asked the server if maybe they’d run out of their usual canned salsa but she insisted, no, this is salsa (100% diced tomatoes straight outta the can). Paying premium, indulgent prices for food prepared with no self-respect. The steamroom is perpetually out of order, and the services carved away a bit more each visit. All while prices go up! Done

The spa is absolutely amazing and beautiful, relaxing, and worth the visit. Unfortunately, the bistro is the complete opposite. I ate there four times, and each visit the food got worse. The chicken is especially bad, just the memory of the taste makes me feel sick. On top of that, the prices are outrageous for such disappointing meals. Please do better; the spa deserves a restaurant that matches its excellence.

We have been to the spa many times now and the bistro and cafe is such a highlight. The food is exceptional, with a diverse drink menu that is updated and somehow keeps improving. This time the red wine selection was the best it’s ever been with selections you don’t see at your typical restaurant. The staff there is professional, friendly and eager to make the experience just as elevated as the spa. Debra is our personal favorite! Witty, funny and personable. She’s been there each time and we always look forward to catching up.

Alyeska Spa is amazing, and the service at the bistro was great! Nice and attentive staff. However, the cocktails were probably the worst I’ve ever paid for if I’m being totally honest. Bartender for a long time, and the ingredient ratios were really off.. one was tasteless and one was so unbelievably spicy it was hard to finish. Clearly no recipe was followed. Would shy away from mixed drinks here, stick to bottles and cans!

Been here twice now and both times the food didn’t really wow me. The service has been wonderful each time but for the price, all the foods just okay. Their drink menu is great but when you’re craving some food during/after the spa, nothing on the menu ever fixes your craving. If they were going for the upscale feel, they might as well serve some steak/fish and I feel like that’d be better – especially considering everything’s already ~$30+ per item. Disappointed that this is the only food option at the spa right now.

This was our second time to the spa. The first was in May 2023, so shortly after the spa was filled opened with everything available. Our first visit was great and everything was new and clean. This time, it was painfully obvious that the spa is being neglected and not maintained which is so sad to see. The locker rooms were pretty gross, hard water scum was building up on the shower heads, the rack that held the soap dispensers was broken so the bottles were precariously resting on the holder, the metal legs of the benches in the shower stalls were rusting and a trail of rust was on the ground leading to the shower drain. My fiancé said one of the toilets was out of service in the women’s locker room, and their paper towel dispenser was broken so there were no paper towels available. In the men’s room the paper towel dispenser was right above and connected to the trash can and for most of the visit the trash was overflowing so much that it was touching the clean paper towels above.

The hot tubs and cold plunges have a significant amount of grime on the grout lines, and there was a lot of debris floating in each of them. I overheard a patron mention that there were multiple nails sticking out of the floor board of the signature sauna and that they almost stepped on them.

The desk outside the locker rooms that usually had towels on the counter hardly ever had towels on it. Additionally, there was only a staff member at the desk a single time I went over and when I asked for a towel I got a sigh and a look like I was bothering them by asking for a towel since none were out. At another time in the day there was a group of around 8 people waiting for towels or a different robe size and no one was at the desk. After about 5 minutes we just walked behind the desk into the supply closet and got stuff ourselves. After that point I saw multiple people doing the same thing throughout the day.

The two trees bistro is hands down the worst food experience I have had in recent memory. To start, I have seen the menu change 3 times now, and every single time it is a limited menu where we just pick the single thing that sounds like least bad. We decided to get the Chicken Club sandwich. This was advertised as a sandwich with piri piri chicken on a pretzel baguette with pesto mayo and lettuce/tomato. What we received was a thick, dense, and dry pretzel bun slider with dry, plain shredded chicken and an unnoticeable amount of sauce. The two trees bistro advertises itself as using fresh seasonal ingredients from alaska but this sandwich couldn’t be further from that. I swear everything on the sand which was purchased straight from Costco. The sandwich looked like something you would make yourself for lunch, except I would be severely disappointed in myself if I made something that tasted like this. To top it all off, the two trees bistro has the gall to charge $26 for this abomination. I have never seen such an egregious money grab at a restaurant before. Finally, I don’t know if they control this, but the default tipping amounts when paying were 20, 25, and 30. This was just the cherry on top to think that this food and service warranted a minimum of a 20% tip.

It is extremely sad to see what is happening to the Nordic Spa and how much it has gone down hill in the past year. In a few years I can only imagine this place will be as dingy as H2Oasis in Anchorage.
