Two One Ate is a must-stop if you’re in the area. The patio is lovely, and the mix of ice cream, pastries, and breakfast/lunch sandwiches makes it a perfect all-day spot. Service is always friendly and welcoming, which adds to the charm.

The marshmallow latte was delicious, and the breakfast sandwich on the croissant bread was outstanding, buttery, flaky, and so satisfying. The BBQ chicken sandwich was fantastic for more of a lunch option. A cozy local café that’s worth seeking out.

Cannot say enough good things about this place. If they opened near I lived, I’d go broke fast.
My daughter and I agree it’s the best ice cream we’ve ever had.
I think we’ve stopped here 6 times in three days, and the food does not disappoint!
Very cute inside and on the patio. You immediately are greeted by a vibe of warmth and welcoming when you enter. I’ll be back, and am recommending this to everyone I know that passes through!

What an absolute gem on the north shore. We had breakfast and both the egg sandwiches and the pastries were incredible. The place is super clean and the decor is nice. Even the merch looked cool. A must stop!

Oh and the patio is super nice and there’s a playground right next door that the kids can play on after eating.

Wow. We stopped here to grab a quick bite and were blown away. The sandwiches and fruit cup were fresh and satisfying, but what blew us away was the homemade dairy free chocolate ice cream. This is literally the best dairy free ice cream we have ever had. It tastes like the real deal! Ben & Jerry’s, Love Creamery in Duluth, and other dairy free options don’t even come close. We would happily hit this place up when we re-visit the north shore.

I came from over 4 hours away from the cities with the goal of going to this bakery based on a photo I saw of their carrot cake. It looked so amazing ! I was sad when I got there that they had no slices left but the gentleman working offered to cut it into slices. It was the best carrot cake I have ever had! This place is worth a trip and there are great camping areas nearby to make it apart of your vacation!

I thought I wrote a review when we were in Beaver Bay in July but I couldn’t find it so I am writing one now. This is our favorite place to eat on the North Shore, by far. The owners are friendly and they prepare the food quickly. It’s not a very big place but it’s nicely decorated and I can’t recommend it enough. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. The food is excellent and made with the freshest of ingredients. I had the Yardbird this time because I had it in July and loved it. This is their description: “Sliced turkey breast, crispy bacon, avocado, and garlic aioli are layered with provolone cheese and fresh salad greens on a croissant.” I’m sure they make the croissants in-house. My husband had a roast beef with barbecue sauce. He really liked it also. They make their own ice cream and it is so good. I’ve had Black Raspberry more than once and I highly recommend it. This time I had Salted Caramel with Toffee Bits and that was excellent too. Their prices are not low but the portions are generous and on the prices are on par with what I would expect with fresh and high quality ingredients. We will eat here every time we are in the area – I just wish we lived closer.

Decent place in small town. We stayed in two harbors and this was something we had not been to despite staying there multiple years every summer. I did not do well taking photos of food or ice cream but we sampled much over two days. First stop we got ice cream and carrot cake pictured. The carrot cake was not carrot cake, as someone who does not love cake and really only eats it when it is good carrot cake or angle food this is not was not something I enjoyed. The cake had a good consistency and light fluff to it. It was more of a spiced cake than carrot. Had some flavor profiles reminiscent of carrot cake but missed the mark. It’s icing was not a traditional cream cheese flavor and it had a carmely drizzle that was pretty lack luster in flavor. All in all I would not recommend that for carrot cake, if u are up for spice cake you will enjoy it.
The ice cream was amazing, not a big dessert person so ice cream I eat has to be small batch for me to consider otherwise it’s not worth it. This ice cream was delicious. We had cups day one and had sorbet, licorice, butter scotch pecan, salted carmel, lemon cheese cake and cherry chocolate. My mom who loves licorice loved her ice cream. The salted carmel was good but not the favorite of the group. The butter pecan was hands down the winner. It was amazing, smooth creamy, chunks of pecans it was so good. The cherry was good at first then I got tired of the chocolate. I am personally not huge on chocolate so that just got to a point I was done with it. I wanted to try other flavors about 50-60% had chocolate in them. The lemon cheese cake was amazing. It was seasonal and had big chunks of cheese cake edible on size, that were delicious and the lemon was flavorful without being over powering.
The food was great for the price. Everyone enjoyed everything that was ate. The steak sandwich was only thing I remembered to get a photo of, it was super tender salty and really good. I got it with onions and peppers lettuce and tomato, it was supposed to have avocado but didnt…. but I honestly didn’t notice or care was great tasting and melt in your mouth tender. The grilled chicken was delicious and felt healthier then what we usually eat while on vacation. It was salty and tender as well, salty as in flavorful not overly salty. The French dip style came with au juis and that was salty and yummy as well. All in all the place is well worth the stop. Great dessert and great food. Highly recommend.

The place was very cozy and busy. They have rotating deserts and fair prices on their food and coffee. Recommend the Homer and chocolate croissant, plus a premium coffee. Ordered the “Honey I’m Latte” which was very good and felt like a new flavor I’ve not yet tried

My boyfriend and I live in the area and decided to stop by on recommendation of a friend. I am a big ice cream connoisseur and homemade ice cream definitely sounded like a good deal to me. We stopped in and decided to get food to go as well.

I ordered a small cup of cherry vanilla, a seasonal flavor, that I ate while waiting for our order. I’m actually very sad this is a seasonal flavor because I really, really enjoyed it. It’s probably one of the favorite flavors I’ve ever had of ice cream.

We ordered sandwiches to go and my boyfriend got a slice of their carrot cake. We were very pleased when we got home and unwrapped everything. Both sandwiches were really good and the carrot cake was to die for. It was also very cutely decorated and I regret that I didn’t take a picture because we were too busy eating.

As a local, I now know that I have a new spot for ice cream as well as sandwiches and light bites. Since it’s so close to so many state parks, I think this would be great to stop by for a snack and a lunch for at any of the many picnic tables along the shore. We absolutely will be returning!
