My friend and I showed up on a Sunday night at about 8 pm, after some deliberation about whether the kitchen was closed or not with the waiter, we were seated quickly near the little makeshift stage. A performer was singing some classic American tunes with his guitar. We ordered the seafood pasta, a side of broccoli, and a ½ lb of stone crabs. Everything was exactly as one would want it. The pasta dish was a sizable portion with big chunks of lobster in a creamy sauce. This was by far my favorite meal of my trip to the Keys.

The only good thing about our breakfast here is that it was outside. The hostess was not friendly and I watched her with everyone as we waited. My lobster benedict was so overcooked that the lobster was burnt and chewy and the eggs were hard boiled. They put so little hollandaise on it I am not sure what it tasted like. I actually sent it back and it came out right but it still wasn’t good – zero flavor. How is that possible?! My husband’s toast wasn’t even toasted! Expensive and not worth your time. We won’t return and should have asked for a refund.

We had fairly standard, almost affordable breakfast here and other than the waitress constantly doing an annoying wink and nod while pushing alcoholic beverages for breakfast, nothing was especially notable. Our daughter had the best meal of our table, with a nice spinach and mushroom omelette and the “potato bites” (cubed deep fried potatoes) were crisp and nice. The soft, commercial “wheat” toast was mushy and underwhelming. **recommend you DO NOT opt to pay extra for their “special” hashbrown potato option. It was NOT the crispy delight you might imagine, but a soft, greasy potato cheese patty. The regular potato bites are MUCH better… and the coffee was mediocre.
The tables were grimy and barely cleaned between customer changes and they need better fan coverage for air movement in the heat of the crowded outdoor seating.
There are better options for breakfast in Old Town, like Sunny’s and the Breakfast Club Too, but you will pay for that quality upgrade.
Happy Travels!

We hosted our anniversary cruise brunch at Two Friends with our party of 30. We were blown away with how beautifully Anvar prepared our own semi-private space. Andre took care of us and he was fantastic. Everyone in our group had a full plate of delicious food and nobody had an empty glass. (The Bloody Marys are THE best) Even the owner visited our tables to wish us well and offer a drink on the house. We can’t say enough good things about this very special gem in Key West. We love this place and visit at least once every time we go to Key West. The food, service, and atmosphere are what you’d come to expect of a Key West gem.
We love to come here for breakfast and get the seafood omelette. It is full of shrimp, scallops, and even a little lobster.
I did not give the food 5 stars this time because the omelette lacked cheese and some of its usual flavor. I am not alarmed and will be back.

This was a highly recommended spot in all the research I did before our week in Key West. We stopped in for Brunch on a Friday morning and they were busy but we had a just a short wait. It’s an old place that’s been expanded a few times. The tables are small and tight but that adds to the atmosphere of the small town family diner. There’s a bar in one room and we had live music to go with our meal. There was some nice AC in that room as the patio was pretty muggy. The food was good, the key lime french toast served as a nice sweet treat. A little on the expensive side, but not out of line compared to other Key West prices. If we went back and wouldn’t feel like I had to go there again, but we had a great meal and I’m glad we stopped in on this trip.

We had breakfast at Two Friends this morning and it was fantastic! The food was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want to start the day right. The service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in.
Highly recommend for a great breakfast experience. We’ll definitely be back!

We have been to this restaurant twice in the past 3 years. The first visit we were late-comers, but had arrived well before the kitchen was closing. The service was minimal and the food, crab legs and lobster tails, seemed like it was more than likely nuked rather than freshly prepared. When we brought this up it seemed to be summarily dismissed by the server and manager on duty. This was not how we had pictured this experience going after reading several positive reviews by other patrons.
We chalked that up to it being so late and a sub-par server, but thought we probably wouldn’t be returning if we visited Key West again. Forward two years later and we found ourselves in Key West to celebrate my fiancee’s birthday. There had been on-location filming for a show starring Vince Vaughn and he had been spotted at Two Friends Patio the day before, so we decided to give them another try.
My fiancee ordered her favorite seafood, Lobster tail, crab legs and shrimp and I ordered the 8 oz steak with shrimp. Her lobster and crab came out fresh, but she didn’t get her shrimp so she caught the server to tell him about it. He brought it out on a skewer but no plate under it, whiich we both thought was poorly done. I ordered my steak medium, which, to me, means that it’s moist and has a warm, pink center. My steak came out much closer to well done with no pink showing at all and fairly dry inside. I brought this up to our server who agreed and had me place the steak on a paper napkin for him to bring back to the kitchen to be re-cooked. Not a minute later the person who I assume was the kitchen manager came to our table with my steak, now placed on a dinner plate instead of the paper napkin it had been in. In heavily accented English he said “you ordered your steak medium and that’s how this has been cooked”. I pointed out that there was no pink center to the steak and it was pretty dry, so that was why I had asked for it to be re-cooked. He stated again that he saw this steak as being properly cooked, but I said no, it wasn’t and I requested that he re-cook it to the proper temp for me. Without a word he turned and went back into the kitchen. A few minutes later it arrived nicely warm, most and properly cooked. Yes, I’ve rambled-on there for a bit, but I just couldn’t believe how much this manager had fought me over the matter…especially when the first steak, still a bit moist, had been placed in a paper napkin, transferring paper by-products into it, making eating that steak very unappealing! The night wasn’t a total loss, but this manager’s customer service skills could definitely use a little tune-up!

Two friends has been around for a long long time.Based on the condition of the building and the lady’s restroom, however, we had the sixteen ounce bone in ribeye with a side salad and it was delicious! It was one of their specials for only eighteen dollars. We’re a stopping in.

Glad they have parking available. Parking is a booger in KW. Service was AMAZING. Food was good. Place was clean. Bathroom was clean. Great corner location. Too much bread crumbs on the Oysters but they were delicious. Everything was fresh out the grease hot. I actually loved the cups. Genius. Great price point. Would recommend.
