Wow! Definitely the best authentic Cuban food with a great ambiance and service! Everything tastes like Cuban home made! We were on our way to Texas, and had to stop here for Ropa vieja, Cerdo asado, Cuban congris, tamales, Cuban coffee and Mamey Shakes! The sandwich are also top notch! They serve a lot of delicious food, so if you are and the road, you can eat and take some for the travel!
We are cubans and we can tell, this place is awesome!
Está todo riquísimoooo! ✨️
Plus the service, this guy is outstanding and make you feel comfortable and pleased all the time!
Thanks! We will definitely be back soon!

So good and such a vibe. Adrien is so nice and gave us tons of local recommendations. The media noche sandwiches were fire. I recommend grabbing some for a picnic then get the roast pork plate while there. Just perfect. The beef empanadas were also freshly fried. Will be back next drive through Florida

It was my first time visiting this establishment. The owner was welcoming and there were a few people standing outside that raved about the food. The owner shared about his weight loss journey and his faith. The atmosphere was amazing with everyone sharing about menu items and their hometowns. The Cuban sandwich and pork dinner were very popular items but I didn’t want pork so the owner suggested the chicken dinner which he stated would only take “a few minutes to cook”. I arrived around 1:20pm and left at 2pm…so a few minutes turned into 40 minutes. I had informed the owner that I was from Valdosta and had to get back on the road. Four other individuals came in the establishment after me and left with their orders. The owner apologized and kept telling me my order was almost ready. Long before receiving my order, he offered a pineapple soda which I thought was “complimentary” due to my wait time. I should have asked because he ended up charging for the soda.
The food was delicious but there were a lot of onions mixed in with the chicken. I noticed there were two extra manduros (sweet plantains) which were tasty and went well with the chicken, black beans and rice. Overall, I had a pleasant experience but I did not like having to wait so long for my order. I am not sure that I will return but if I do maybe I’ll order ahead or purchase something that won’t take 40 minutes. Nevertheless, wishing this business much success!!!
Side note: I accidentally walked off without the soda and the owner’s nephew brought it out to my vehicle before I pulled off. So thankful to him!
I added a photo that reflects the portion I had leftover. The plate was loaded up…which makes up for the price. Sorry! I forgot about taking a photo before digging in!

On a long trip and was looking for a place to each that wasn’t the usual cuisine. Spotted this in a Google search and decided to give it a try. A first glance it may seem like a usual food truck but it was more. It has a small seating area so it’s great if you are passing through and want to sit and eat a meal. Hospitality was great. Owner was really welcoming and made sure our experience was memorable. Prices were affordable and food tasted great. There was four of us and we fit comfortable in a booth. There are 3 booths inside the establishment. I had the steak sandwich and it did not disappoint. If you are in the area I would recommend you stop in for some delicious Cuban cuisine. They have been serving in the community for 10 years and were featured in the Lake City magazine. Bravo! Support small business.

This is a small place sort of in an unlikely location. By all appearances, family owned and run (Garcia’s, right? I believe so). Ordering was at the register and right with the guy preparing the food, or at least packaging it. Super friendly and welcoming. The food was flat out great Cuban cuisine without all the flourishes other places will offer. It was simple home cooking and wonderful. I had the shredded pork plate with mojo and my friend couldn’t skip the Cuban sandwich. Both ridiculously good. I highly recommend.

When we arrived we were not sure to eat there but, as I love to try new places we got out of our car. As I walked up, there was a lady on oxygen, who appeared to be waiting for her order in the handicap parking. I asked her if it was good. She instantly raved and said we chose the best place for lunch.
As we were just driving through on a long road trip, we were hungry.
Once inside the family greeting we received from the owner, his family present, gave me a feeling that I was not at a business. I was in their home where they were sharing the meal they cooked with me. The meal I wanted was not available but a suitable substitution was immediately suggested. The picture provided was what was served and it was good. We were surprised with garlic bread as an appetizer and finished with Cuban coffee on the house. These are details most diners today have forgotten. Old fashioned customer care really goes a long way.
If you are looking to nitpick and criticize, this is not the place for you. If you want good food that fills the soul and service that transports you to another time, then “welcome home!” Because that is how you will feel.
One thing I noticed was, my eggs were seasoned and did not need salt and pepper. Great Job!

I was really excited to eat here after reading all the great reviews for this little cuban spot. I ordered my favorite cuban sandwich the La Media Noche or Midnight sandwich. To my dismay it was not what I expected. Bread was hard as a rock and the authentic sweet bread was not used to make the sandwich. The pork was overly salty and the cuban flavor I so love was lacking. On a more positive note the guava cheese pastry was absolutely perfect. So we ended up driving 20 miles south to Mi Api Cuban in High Springs to get the authentic Media Noche Sandwich thats the photo of the perfectly pressed sandwich here. The other is the 2nd sandwich made at 2 cuban guys.
