Two Brothers Smokin’ Oak Kitchen serves-up outrageously good barbecue. The sausage has a nice heavy smoke ring. The sauce keeps the meat moist with the heavy smoke, and the wet cut brisket is outstanding as well.

Mouth watering jaw dropping bbq and chicken. Michelin star worth. Hands down the best chicken I have had from all over Texas. The seasonings used are amazing, adding to the perfectly cooked juicy bird you get. Bbq is top notch with outstanding customer service. My co workers were stunned with the explosion of amazing flavors it contains. You won’t be disappointed in their meal. BEST KEPT SECRET.

Sitting on the corner of Woodwind and West Belfort, this bright orange food truck gives little clue from its exterior as to the amazing contents hidden inside. The aroma that wafts through the air entices from blocks away, leaving watering mouths and a promise of delicious treasure for anyone smart enough to follow it to the source.

The menu is pretty straightforward and has all the usual suspects of a standard bbq joint. The true measure of any Texas bbq spot though, is and always will be the brisket. Smokin Oak does not disappoint with the heavyweight they bring to the table, available as a plate or on a soft bun. The brisket plate serves up a generous portion of meat along with two sides, three slices of soft white sandwich bread, pickles, onions, and pickled jalapeno. The brisket comes out hot and sliced perfectly thin, with a liberal sprinkling of tangy bbq sauce on top. It is incredibly tender, enough so that it is able to be pulled apart with just a fork into lovely little pieces. Unless otherwise specified, the plate comes with a nice mix of the leaner, chewier center slices and charred, melt-in-your-mouth fatty bits. The flavor is a perfect balance of smoke and seasoning, neither overpowering the other. For those who like their brisket wet, ask for extra sauce on the side for dousing or dipping.

The potato salad is fairly standard, a good combination of creamy, sweet, and acidic to play against the richness of the meat.

The sausage platter is served with the same accoutrements and a generous pile of sliced smoked sausage. The beef sausage has a strong, rich flavor and is worth trying, although the texture may be off-putting to some. Wrapped in a throwaway peel, the exterior has a nice snap to it but comes with an unusually soft, almost creamy center of forcemeat.
Other items may vary in availability, and it is oftentimes wise to call ahead to verify the hours of operation. The service is always friendly and the guys are always ready to make recommendations to those who need them.

Hands down 10 stars. The bbq food was definitely by far one of the best tasting. The brisket was perfect with the smokey oak flavor very tender. The sausage was amazing beans and potato salad. Forget going to Pappas BBQ and these big chains I’ll be going back here definitely. The owner was very nice and even takes time to put foil over the food and gives a good quantity of slices of bread so it doesn’t get soggy by the juices and even takes the time to wrap the to box with Saran wrap to prevent it from opening and making a mess while driving.thanks I’ll be coming back soon.

This was the only and I don’t repeat the only place I bought links from. Not sure what happened today but I drove over 30 minutes attempted to purchase 4 orders of links 3 with sauce and the other 1 without sauce. After arriving all the way home 30 minute drive might I have you. Opened my order and all 4 were orders of ribs. I called to them know that my order was incorrect. I was told no you said ribs and im like no I said links. I actually called before I even drove all the way there to make sure they had links and stated I would be there in 45 minutes. The first 1-3 minutes of the call was me being told that I ordered something I did not. Then was asked ok so what do you want to do. It was the lack of ownership and rudeness that was given to me that did it. Until the point where I decided to end the call. I was called back to and still told well I asked you the price and you agreed to that price but what is it that you want to do. People dont place orders by price I asked for links the last time I was there 2 orders of links were not $11 a piece I paid closer to the $28 mark for both. I stated that I wasnt coming back today. And was trying to express that when an order is wrong and caused by yourself to take ownership. But of course I kept getting cut off I was offered that the next time i came they would give me 4 orders of links at no charge but i was never looking for anything free only wanting ownership to be taken so that it doesnt happen again. eventually they hung up on me go figure. I had been going here since 2022 or earlier. I DO NOT TAKE NOR ACCEPT ANYONE BEING RUDE ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE IN THE WRONG. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING

While I can’t highly rate it, I can say this… the sides (potato salad & baked beans) are good! I enjoyed the beef sausage but the pork ribs were a miss for me. Now they did have other options so maybe it’s worth tasting their brisket to see how that fairs. Overall, it’s an ok “bbq” spot to go to but I wouldn’t go home raving about it.

Not from Texas but I heard the barbecue out here is great. I went too a few well known bbq spots and was not impressed until I tried it here. The sauce and smoky flavor was amazing. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Everyone says they want to try “local, authentic” barbecue but end up at some well publicized trendy place. Two Brothers Smokin’ Oak Kitchen is the definition of local and authentic and if it is flavorful, smoked Texas barbecue that you are really lookin’ for, you will find it here. No frills, just darn good bbq served quickly with a smile and a friendly hello out of a smoker/kitchen trailer parked in front of a Sunny’s convenient store is what you get. But don’t let the efficient setting fool you, the food is extraordinary and the bbq ranks among the best. There are many styles of barbecue and Two Brothers’ is unique in that it packs a lil’ kick of spicy seasoning to it but is true to traditional Texas bbq in that it is smoked with the oak wood native to the great state that you will find in most of the other well known bbq joints. This combo gives the meat a decadence of rich, tasty, deep flavor with a nice tender and moist consistency that definitely excites the senses. The sides got a Southern comfort food style to them that will get you going as well. You have to come to the South Side to get that “sauce”, literally and figuratively and Two Brothers for sure brings it. So if you call yourself a true connoisseur of Texas bbq or just love good food regardless of the hype come on down and give Two Brothers a try.
