10/10 recommend! Everything was super flavorful without being salty, the cocktails were some of the best I’ve had in some time and our waiter Corey was super personable and made sure our food came out fresh and satisfactory. We came for brunch and it was a very refreshing experience where you could listen to chill music, talk with friends and eat well! The pictures should speak for themselves! I highly recommend!

Twisted Soul Cookhouse and Pours was really good. We started with the catfish poppers and the lemon pepper basil chicken wings—both excellent choices. For the entrées, we had the coconut curry mushrooms with salmon. The sauce was really good—definitely different, but very flavorful. We also ordered the Southern-style marinated fried chicken, which was really good, and the classic pot roast.
Overall, it was a great experience and all the reviews were right. Plenty of parking and excellent service. We also had dessert—the peach cobbler is definitely worth recommending. Just an all-around great experience. No military discount.

I truly enjoyed my experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, the service was attentive, and the food was exceptional. The drinks were flavorful, though slightly lighter than expected. But let’s talk about the traffic—it was absolutely HORRIBLE. Whew! Getting there felt like a journey all by itself.”

My husband went for Valentine’s Day and sat at the bar. Derek took care of us and everything we had was amazing. The fried green tomatoes, oxtails, and the pot roast, followed by the midnight cake. Good portions, great atmosphere. The ladies were even able to make a mini bouquet of roses to take home for Valentine’s Day. Derek did not disappoint in making drinks. He was able to take what I normally order out and recommend something on the menu that was similar. He even made me a drink that wasn’t on the menu. All the cocktails were made to perfection. We definitely want to come back. Highly recommend and parking was plentiful in the garage.

Quaint with a wisp of elevated elegance. From its art adorned walls to the twists on traditional southern dining, this is a wonderful contemporary restaurant. The staff is attentive and Chaz was both friendly and polite. The manager Keisha, (I hope I spelled her name correctly) added to the experience with engaging conversation about the restaurant. They truly want you to be pleased with the service and the food. The collard green rolls are exceptional as well as the fried chicken that’s fried to crispy perfection. Even the bread basket has several variances that go well with any entrée. I would highly recommend and I will be returning. Thank you Keisha, Chaz and the staff of Twisted Soul.

Decent Soul Food, But Brunch Missed the Mark

We made an 11am Saturday reservation for four, though it turned out unnecessary since we were the only guests for a while. We were seated right away, and our server was attentive with quick service throughout the meal.

Starters:
We shared the Bread Service Basket, which offered a tasty variety. The Smoked Salmon Eggrolls were a mixed bag — our friends enjoyed them, but my wife wasn’t a fan.

Entrées:
– My wife ordered the Hoisin Oxtails, which oddly arrived without the bok choy. She couldn’t pinpoint why, but the dish just didn’t work for her.
– Our friends seemed to enjoy their Southern Marinated Fried Chicken and the Dirty South Fried Chicken Omelette, though one didn’t finish her chicken.
– I had the Steak and Eggs — good overall, but not worth the $40 price tag, especially since it was higher than what the online menu listed.

Overall:
It’s a decent spot for soul food, but brunch didn’t justify the price. We might consider coming back to try the dinner menu, but we’re not in a rush to return.

We are in town for Women Evolved and wanted to try a locate spot. Saw this place on Google and wanted to give it a try. We were greeted as we came in and loved the atmosphere. The staff was super helpful and explained the menu. I had the fried chicken, and my friend has the steak. The food was amazing. Very delicious and serving are very generous. We did try dessert, the peach cobbler and strawberry pound cake. Both were tasty. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

This was a great spot for my birthday dinner. The food was delicious, the drinks strong and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. We had to wait quite a bit for our plates but was worth the wait. I would definitely visit again and try some other options! The catfish ravioli was perfection.

Black owned.
We walked in and were instantly greeted by the host and sat immediately. The decor was a mix of industrial chic, really vibes. Our server, Cierra, came and greeted us warmly. She went over special drinks and described the start of Twisted Soul and how the founder was a flight attendant for 30+ years and experienced many cultures and decided to share her experiences via food with a soul twist.
We ordered drinks and apps and Cierra brought out a bread basket–literally the best bread basket I’ve experienced. No butter or anything required.
We order the wings as an app and they were so good we order two more portions lol
For my meal I had their version of a fried chicken sandwich and it was delectable as expected but I couldn’t finish it due to filling up on the bread basket and apps.
I really can’t say enough about the food, I could go into what my friends ordered but the moral of all of their stories is that EVERYTHING was literally good. We will be back.
