This is my favorite twisted root of all time! I started coming here years ago and would make the drive back here from Dallas because the 2 up there just weren’t great. This one has excellent service and their food tastes so much better. While I haven’t been here in a couple of years, it’s as good as I remember! If you want a great burger in a fun atmosphere, head here!

I will never come back here. Had high expectations very disappointing. The bread was old and fell apart, burgers small, cheese on the fries looked and tasted like cheap government cheese, ordered a mix drink they never made it took a while standing at the counter while my food got cold, only had 4 choices of beer was out of all the other options, only had two of the several options of exotic meats and overpriced burger was about the size of a kids burger at regular burger place.

I would give a 5 star, except my GF burger bun was very dry and crumbled, perhaps old. The meat had good flavor, and a generous portion. If you are GF spend your $ to upgrade the meat, not the bun. Pickles were delicious – bread and butter my favorite. Homemade potato chips were very light and flavorful. I look forward to trying their Buffalo, and Wagyu. Easy to find, just look for the water tower, right across the street.

I’ve been here a few times now. The burgers are okay, but the reason I come back are for the Treat Yo Self fries. They’re kinda too expensive for the amount you get, but still really good. The atmosphere is cool and I like how everyone gets a funny name. I love it when the servers use silly voices or sayings to announce the names and call people up to get their food, but have only noticed it one time.

Fun vibe with a creative menu, loved that you can create your own burger or get any pre selected combination with the patty of your choice. I got the Big Tex with the house made chickpea, black bean, brown rice & quinoa burger, it was delicious and a little crispy on the outside which made it even better! Got it with a side of fried pickle chips, it was a lot of food. They played good music! I love that you can try the house-made pickle chips in giant barrels and as many as you’d like. Also got the bananas foster shake, it was so sweet, but a wonderful creation. Will return!

Amazing choice of burgers, the Freshman 15 is my personal favorite. Unique decorations inside, and I loved the different pickles they have available. Make sure to specify if you want your burger cooked less than well done.

The food was very good, what an awesome burger!! But as the sign on the window says, bad service, and it is correct. The ranch and mayo containers were empty, and the response from the worker out in the lobby area, “there may be some behind the counter if you go check.” That is not customer service. Again, the food was very good.

If you are into burgers and never have visited twisted root then you need to put this place on your list. Not only do they have a great selection of different burgers, shakes, fries, and beer but they also will carry different types of meat as well – bison, ostrich, wagyu, just to name a few. Very recommended.
