Great local spot. I was a little skeptical at first because it was empty when we got there, but the food blew me away! The wings were perfectly crispy and juicy. The reuben was great, and the HUSHPUPPIES, best I’ve ever had. The crab dip was a little underseasoned for my taste, but I added some of their hot sauce, and it was great! The sauces, sweet heat and Carolina (north, not south) were perfection. Will 100% be going back!

This little place is tucked into what I call an older part of Portsmouth. It’s a neighborhood sports bar w/typical bar food mixed w/BBQ plates.There are 2 pool tables available for your inner MN fats..lol It’s a Commanders bar which I why went. Plenty of TV’s for the size of the bar. Outdoor patio that also has a TV. The patio is partially covered. Lots of good specials during the week & nice specials for football season. Owner is engaged & friendly. Service was good, drinks were made well. I had the 6 wings special that they offer on football Sunday. They were a good size, fried to perfection & their in- house made bourbon BBQ sauce was amazing! I enjoyed watching the game w/fellow fans! Laid back atmosphere. I will go back there.

I am very particular about my food, and I’m telling you right now I’ve never had wings this good. I ordered the garlic parmesan wings, and the dinner salad with the smoked chicken on top and the chicken is phenomenal. All of the vegetables were very crisp and fresh in the salad as well. I will definitely be back again and again. The service was amazing as well, I wish I would’ve caught their name so I could mention who they were but absolutely fantastic ladies.

The server was top tier…but the food was generally salty. Nacho cheese salty, crab dip salty..my daughter had a burger but I didnt try it. The fries were good though. The drink…it was good and strong but well balanced.

Tried to go here for dinner one night and the place was packed, it normally is when we pass by so we figured that’s a good sign!
The place is so tiny however there was literally no seating inside so we tried outside which there was seating but it being winter was not great.
We sat there and waited for 30 minutes and no one came by to take our order so instead of freezing outside waiting we just left. Very disappointed.
Unless we were supposed to order ourselves otherwise please correct me but from what I saw inside and online there was supposed to be an actual server.

Food was very good! Had the Steamed shrimp. You can get them with however much Old Bay you want. I went with medium and it was perfect. Fried Green Tomatoes were pretty good too! Waitress was new, a bit slower than a seasoned waitress, but she was very apologetic! I plan to go back to try some other menu items!

We went on Wednesday Wing night and they did not disappoint. The server was on point and I loved the atmosphere with pool tables and outside seating. They have a great selection of sauces…bourbon barbecue is on point!

My guy had a craving for wings so I did what I always do, a google search to find the best reviews near me. Jessica greeted us soon after we sat down and she brought us the list of 12 beers on tap and menus. Due to the holiday, they were running short on “flats” so an order of all flats was a bit iffy but Jessica said they would do their best. Their best was phenomenal as my guy has blown away by the flavor of the ALL FLATS! They are smoked and then grilled with their house made sauce…. and he has been talking about how great they were since our visit. He also got the mac and cheese and fries with hush puppies. All of it was fantastic. I tried the hush puppies and they were great. I got the salad and the portion was so much that it will be a couple meals for me. The lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes…so fresh! The homemade ranch dressing was a bonus. This little hidden gem is a win from the service to the food. They have specials during the week…we will be back for sure..so YUMMY.

We came to the twisted pig as a group to celebrate. It’s a nice little “hole in the wall” location. Staff was amazing, food came out quickly, they have. Bar and pool tables. Outdoor seating for smokers. I will say as a bbq lover the whole table agreed that the food was just ok, nothing to write home about. For my food personally, I will say I loved the potato skins and hush puppies but brisket was dry and food could use more seasoning.
