Twisted Liquid is the only restaurant of its kind in Blacksburg. The atmosphere is trendy, the food & drink is phenomenal, and the service is impeccable!

New favorite food and drink location in Blacksburg! Over the course of two nights we sampled 8 cocktails, and 7 of the starters, small plates and entrees.
I want to give Twisted Liquid 5 starts, but it’s not quite there. Several cocktails were outstanding. Many others show so much potential, but need to be tweaked for balance. Flavor profiles tend toward very sweet. None are classically boozy. Almost all are tasty, but dialing back the sweetness would bring them into balance .
For food, the Pub Burger, the Blue Crab Donut and the Truffle Mac and Cheese stand out. The Duck Bao would benefit from an actual steamed bun. The Hunters Pie, oddly, would benefit from more vegetables. The pork pizzella was quite good.
Service was friendly and attentive!
Overall impression: like almost any restaurant, there are hits and misses. Here, there are plenty of hits, and even the misses show lots of potential! Twisted Liquid is pretty unique in Blacksburg, and absolutely worth your time. It will be our favorite haunt from now on!

I can’t describe the atmosphere other than truly mesmerizing, each experience in drinks and food was a Mabel to be with old. From decadent and light flavors to gritty and deep tastes they have something for every palate. And you will leave here with a new standard for how food should be. In addition the ownership is stellar. A MUST do for Blacksburg and southwestern Virginia as a whole.

Our son has been at VT for four years and we wished we had this spot all four years and didn’t just discover it. The quality and creativity of the food is something you’d expect from a major food city like New York, San Francisco, etc. we enjoyed several items including the mussels, boa buns, and other items from the fall menu. The menu changes so we need to return. The cocktails were also top notch but go for the food first!

Wonderful experience. Once you step through the door you feel like you have transported to another city. Upscale vibe and cocktails! Definitely won’t find cocktails or food like this anywhere else in Blacksburg. Bartenders were knowledgeable and attentive!
