Twist ‘n Dip in Auburn Hills is seriously one of our favorite spots to grab ice cream. The vibe is super chill and fun—perfect for a quick treat or just hanging out with friends or family. The ice cream? Always delicious. They’ve got so many flavors to choose from, plus fun twist combos, dipped cones, and sundaes that hit the spot every time.
Prices are awesome too—really affordable for how much you get. Portions are generous, and you can tell they don’t skimp on quality. It’s the kind of place where everyone leaves happy. Even if there’s a line (which happens a lot when the weather’s nice), it moves pretty fast and the staff keeps things friendly and upbeat.
There’s just something about this place that feels like summer—even if you’re stopping by in the fall. It’s got that classic local ice cream stand feel, and it’s always a good time. Whether you’re bringing kids, meeting up with friends, or just treating yourself after a long day, Twist ‘n Dip is always a win. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area—it’s a little gem in Auburn Hills!

Large variety of soft serve flavors. Fun combo choices plus the standards. Prices are excellent. The young people who work there are friendly and efficient. Be patient it’s a small shop but worth the wait. Order on the right. Pick Up to the left. Enjoy!

A really great Ice cream place in Auburn Hills.
We came right before they closed for the season. Glad we did, this place is a gem.
The staff were super nice and helpful with the menu which is a large and nice menu. The prices are reasonable as well.
The treats were really good, they are incredibly generous with the toppings.
Can’t recommend this place enough, and we’ll be seeing them next season for sure..

Been buying ice cream here every summer for years. I remember coming here with my dad when I was a kid.
Only thing I ever order is the twist on a cone with sprinkles. Can’t comment on the other options but they’re probably pretty good.
This is the sort of place that you’ll always have memories of if you grew up around here.

This is a terrific little ice cream stand on the fringe of downtown Auburn Hills. They have a vast array of flavors, more so than most IC spots that are primarily soft serve places. We tried the Banana and we added chocolate chips for good measure. It was great. Of course, their classic varieties are also good. Our grandsons tried the chocolate and vanilla (with sprinkles, naturally), respectively, and were quite happy with their choices.
The service was friendly and efficient and their prices were very fair. They have some picnic tables on the grounds where you can sit and enjoy your treats. It was an enjoyable experience and we’ll look forward to our next chance to pay a visit.

Yes it’s pretty much your typical local ice cream stand. Just a quaint little stand with a few picnic tables, nothing fancy. But isn’t that what you love about them. The perfect destination for a walk or bike ride with a large selection of pretty much any ice cream concoction you can dream up, from simple to extra fancy. There’s a Royal Reese’s sunday that’s abit pricey but plenty for two to share and it’s quite spectacular. Staff is always friendly and even when there’s a line it moves fairly quick.

First time and last time here. We first waited over 30 mins sitting there smelling their dumpster. We ordered $13 in sundaes. 3 parties behind us were served before before we did. Our sundaes were missing toppings. Paid for a speciality one got ice cream and fudge covered in whipped cream. McDonald’s does better with less wait time. Drove not even 5 mins home in the ac and it was soup. Needless to say between the smell, the wait, and waste of money on something McDonald’s sells for $3 when its supposed to have brownie bites and other toppings on it. I poured it into a bowl after running it inside with it all over us for the picture.

I typically get a Pistachio malt, which I really enjoy. My wife likes the frozen yogurt. I twisted my wife’s arm all summer long for a Royal Reeses Shake on my birthday–and it was delicious! Highly recommended!

Great local ice cream spot. So many flavors to choose from. My favorite soft serve ever. The prices are low and the portions are generous. It was only $15 for the 4 of us to get small cones. We are from the Atlanta, GA area and prices for ice cream here are crazy so this was refreshing! You know its good when there is always a line!

Went here for the first time tonight and it looks like we will be driving to auburn hills from lake Orion anytime we want ice cream from now on! Our daughter is allergic to nuts, and the girl helping us was so sweet and very well informed on their allergen handling. My nut allergy kiddo got a blue moon/lemon twist and was in heaven since her options are usually really limited to places not wanting to accommodate people with allergies. We will be back!
