At Twin Wok it is very quiet and the staff don’t seem to be around, when they are, they are very friendly. There is no buffet anymore(no self serve), there is only waitress service. The bathrooms were not clean and one of them is out of order & has a see through curtain for the door. The restaurant was very cute and detailed, but there is junk and their plates and silverware were all over in the restaurant. We waited for more than 10 minutes to be served and had to get up to get up to order all of our food even though we were supposed to have a waiter. The wait to get our food was longer 20 minutes. It was an average priced meal, but we were served on paper plates. The food was very delicious though. I loved the egg drop soup and the orange chicken. I would only come here again if there wasn’t any other options.

Do not dine here

I read the reviews and thought I should give them a chance anyways – dont make the same mistake.

The lady at the counter was sweet but unhelpful.

My partner ordered the pineapple chicken with Fried rice

I ordered the chicken and garlic sauce with white rice, to dine in.

We were handed three Styrofoam boxes.

My partner chicken was soupy and room temp.

My chicken was fishy a partnered with mushy almost spoiled tasting cucumbers.

In the third box was the “fried rice”…but no white rice. Oh well, things happen, I reminded her of our order and she brought my rice…

The fried rice was okay in flavor, heavy soy sauce flavor, strangely small grains of rice, I thought, and no peas or carrots like traditional fried rice, just what I can only assume is the scrappings off of a pan that was recently used to scramble eggs.

The white rice had a strange texture. I took two, maybe three bites trying to place what this rubbery, chewy, awful texture was – then it hit me… this is Minute Rice, like legit Boil-in-a-Bag. I imagine thats the reason the fried rice was so choppy.

I paid $40 before tip for this food.

It was gross and unamusing.

I read the reviews and their responses so I figured they were understanding and would help us with a refund.

The lady at the counter told me, that because I took more than one bite of my food, she didn’t think she could give me a refund. That if I had asked for it after my first bite, she could but she didn’t think it was possible since we tried it more than once… who only has one bite and demands a refund???

I left hungry and feeling sick to my stomach. I should have just grabbed a sandwich at the near by gas station.

Did the Twin Wok Family group B dinner for 2 ( 2 is the minimum and the price for this was $15 per person), and it was more than enough! This combo starts you off with cheese wontons, chicken wings, and egg rolls and they all tasted very fresh and delicious.

You also pick a soup, either wonton, egg, or hot and sour and the hot and sour met my expectations and was very flavorful.

Next up is your main course and you have plenty to choose from and its a diverse selection. Since there was 2 of us we get a choose 2 main courses and we went with Orange Chicken and General Tao Chicken. The dishes were very very tender and Flavorful. The batter wasn’t heavy, very light and crispy. These plates were sauce heavy and was sweet. All this is and they give you a very hefty portion of fried rice.

We both couldn’t finish it all, honestly this is a portion for 3! Enjoy the food and come hungry!

Stopped in at Twin Wok while passing through Ely, what a great find! Was greeted right away by a very sweet lady, and the service was fast and friendly. Generous portions and everything had that delicious, home-cooked feel. Definitely worth a visit!

Quiet and nice atmosphere. Really good food and the woman at the counter was sweat but staff wasn’t around much. Might be a better idea to go when it’s busier.

Delicious food!!!

Cindy and I ate lunch at TWIN WOK RESTAURANT yesterday, June 8, 2018. We chose their buffet.

I selected sesame chicken, bourbon chicken, fried rice, egg drop soup, egg roll, & sautéed mushrooms. Everything was incredibly delicious! Buffet price was reasonable. I had seconds on most of my selections.

We will go back to TWIN WOK RESTAURANT.

This was the worst asian food I have ever eaten. I got the chicken chow mein. The vegetables were mostly onion, large celery that was bitter. Our food was served in a to go clam shell even though we ate in. If I ever go thru Ely again I will not eat here or recommend it to anyone.

The food here is overpriced and served in styrofoam containers. They ask you to pay and tip before you even get your meal, which felt unprofessional. You’re better off grabbing a burger at McDonald’s. Wouldn’t recommend.

This place is definitely underrated. The food was fresh and delicious. Hands down the best fried rice AND lo mein that I’ve had. The service was friendly and attentive. The food is served in to go containers, so if you’re too high maintenance you might not be into it. I love being able to so easily take home my left overs. I will definitely eat here every time I’m in Ely.
