A Rhode Island staple. Service is always great – all male waitstaff in white shirts and bow ties. Our lunch on New Year’s Day was not rushed, but food came out quick and hot. Great drinks. Food is consistent, but some dishes are better than others. I had the Sausage Rabe with Orecchiette – was good. Another person in my party had the pulled pork mac and cheese – they loved it. Huge portions.

Well there are always great places to go and eat in RI. My wife and I recently visited Twin oaks for our anniversary dinner. Our server Jon was great as usual and we had an amazing meal. I ordered the surf n turf and my wife ordered the lasagna with crusty Italian bread. Our scallops and bacon were on point as well. Nice job Twin Oaks. Always a good decision!!!

An old style restaurant that serves traditional meals at a fair price. In the heyday it was the place to go, “the oaks”. Service is lacking and food has declined somewhat. That said it is still a good value depending on your selection and they serve a stiff drink. My beef filet was flat, lacking flavor. The special was very good , see picture.

The only reason I go here is that my friends come here. They like it. Here’s a few notes if you’ve never been. Don’t expect good service. Not going to happen. The bartenders are angry. Why, I don’t know. You can ask for something and when they’re ready, you’ll get it. I asked for water 3 times and it took 20 mins to get it. Onto the food. I got the Portuguese stuff quahog. The chourice makes it Portuguese. It’s an extra dollar, $4.25 rather than $3.25 for the regular stuffie. I got 2 pieces of chourice the size of a nickle for an extra dollar. Ooooh, so generous of you. Not chopped up either. Just sliced and added to the stuffing. That’s not the worst of it. I added a picture of the finished 2 bite product. Yeah, really, that’s it. The shell is the size of my pinky finger. Ridiculous. This thing wasn’t worth 50 cents never mind $4.25 If you go be advised. Be ready to wait and don’t expect much. Good for their following, I’m happy for you. If you like it, have a great time. I know I will NEVER order food from there again. When I go next time to meet my friends, and I will, I’ll bring a couple of bucks and play keno.

I came here today (for the first time) in a group of ten people. The place is enormous! Multiple dining rooms, all packed. Our waiter took all ten of our orders without writing anything down and got it all correct which is simply amazing to me. One person in our group didn’t like his food (turkey plate) because he said it was too salty but the remaining 9 of us enjoyed ours. I got 3 shrimp cocktail and they were large and very very fresh. I also got the grilled Faroe Island salmon which was delicious. The only negatives were that the place was VERY loud (but it’s a busy Friday night, perhaps other nights are quieter) and they would not let us do separate checks so the 10 of us had some math to do at the end. They have a huge parking lot that was pretty full and they also offer valet parking. We had a table overlooking the lake which was very nice. I really enjoyed the experience and would come again. They are obviously doing something right given the fact that they have been around since 1933.

My wife and I were really looking forward to celebrating my 79th Birthday at the Twin Oaks bar yesterday January 28th. We were excited to order the Crispy Duck. We arrived at 12:15
We went to the main bar and there were approximately 10 to 12 empty stools. Each one with a place mat and utensils. We were told that each one was “Reserved “.There was no room for us. I was told later when speaking with a male Hostess on the phone , that “Reserving” bar stools was not their policy and it was “First Come First Serve.” This was certainly not true with our experience. We then went to the Back Bar . We sat down and waited to be recognized which took a while. We had to ask for a menu and once we got them , the so called bartender left. No water no nothing. After about 8 to 10 minutes we left. We went to the Capital Grill for a wonderful lunch? Great service and we spent close to $200. We will never go back to Twin Oaks again , and we will not hesitate to share our experience

Family Centered team work atmosphere. Drinks I watched my server use a straw to check it ! We had servers backing each other up even if we weren’t their table to give us rapid service . Food and drinks was excellent ! My first time here as almost a lifetime RIslander. Totally satisfied! Would go again!
