Met owner and got the history of the 100+ year old building. He has owned for 40 yrs. Was orignally a stage stop to change horses on trip from Galena Illinois to Miwaukee WI. Nicely decorated dining area separate from bar. A little

Lite breading on the fried, not that heavy greasy beer batter everyone else has.
The baked was a thick filet not a thin scrawny piece.

We love going to TG for Friday night fish. The cod is fantastic, especially baked! Homemade slaw is unique and delicious. The burgers and pizza are worth mentioning, too. Be mindful of maybe having to wait for a table on a Friday night..well worth the wait!
