Twin Beaks served me the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and well seasoned. Also loved the fries, it paired beautifully with their Chipotle mayo they had on the side. I loved how the sauces were set up too, on such a cold day the sauces could stay outside and stay fresh. I’m really crossing my fingers this food truck continues to show up to the EB in groton and gets the love it deserves. There are zero complaints with the meal I had, and wish I could give above 5 stars.

Seen this food truck and decided to turn around, and very happy we did. Farm to table. They raise their own chickens and other animals. Very fresh tasting and delicious. The sauces are absolutely wonderful and looking forward to trying out other menu options.

This is a food truck and does travel around so make sure to check out the website to see where they are any particular day.

Hands down one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had and it came from a food truck. Then my wife had the smash burger which was just as delicious. They were complimented with amazing French fries. Hands down one of the best food trucks both of us have ever eaten at.
I will be watching their schedule closely for locations from now on.

Glad to get some quality chicken at the local farmers market. Friendly service, big variety of sauces, the fries were good too. The batter has a unique look to it and is on the lighter side, it compliments the chickn and sauces nicely.
Damn fine chicken.

I drive by Twin Beaks almost every day, and it takes an enormous amount of willpower not to go to Twin Beaks almost every day. Hands down the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had, and that is coming from someone who’s had hundreds of them across a dozen states.

If you look through my reviews, you’re probably not going to find another one for a chicken sandwich because lots of them have just been very good, and I’m someone who likes to keep trying new places hoping for something better than very good. I can stop looking now; the better-than-very-good chicken sandwiches are here at Twin Beaks.

Don’t be deterred by what seems like an unassuming food truck with a quirky design. This is high-class food at a middle-class price. All locally sourced too from, according to Maps, 2.2 miles away on the same road. I suppose the chickens could walk themselves to the truck at that distance.

If I go to a different chicken sandwich place in the future, it will be because Twin Beaks is not where I am. If I am at home or near home or basically anywhere in the eastern half of Connecticut and I want a chicken sandwich, I’m going to Twin Beaks to get one.

My go-to is the Big Ed which is basically a merger of a couple other of their sandwiches. For something a bit more modest, wife swears by the Josie. And while I haven’t had the Deputy Hawk, I’ve seen one of them and I applaud what looks like a fantastic Oklahoma-style smash burger.

They also have chicken in pieces, if you aren’t a sandwich-crazed maniac like me. And their fries are top notch and worth a trip just on their own.

All of that makes Twin Beaks my official favorite chicken place ever. But then you get to the homemade sauces. I’m going to avoid spoilers here and encourage you to try every single one of them at some point; oh no, you’ll have to take many trips. I have yet to select a favorite, but I also do not have a least favorite.

Someday I’ll try to add photos to this review, but seeing and smelling those luscious sandwiches makes me forget my phone exists.

Best food I’ve EVER had from a food truck!! Twins Beaks was at Triple Raven Brewery in Thompson this weekend and I ordered the pretzel. Not only was it huge, but it was absolutely delicious. Ordered two chicken boxes to go for my sons. The breading on the chicken was the best I’ve had on fried chicken. My 16 yo son even called it “elite”. The fries were just as delicious. I will definitely order again next time they come around.

One of the best fried chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. Habanero hand cut fries are also phenomenal. And I’ve had a lot. Huge sammie and huge portions. Sauces are divine. Give them all your money.
