We were driving as a family from Orlando, the kids were starving, and we stopped at Twice Butter around 6 pm. To our surprise, there were no other guests at that time, and we were able to place our order right away. Everything was prepared and brought out incredibly fast — exactly what a tired family with hungry kids needs.
I want to give special thanks to the chefs — the food was not only fast, but truly delicious. The ingredients were extremely fresh, and you could feel that every dish was well thought out. Even a simple burger turned out to be anything but simple — it was unbelievably tasty.
And the pizza deserves its own paragraph. It’s very hard to find a truly well-made pizza with thin crust — and this one was absolutely amazing. Perfect texture, great flavor, just outstanding.
One more thing that genuinely surprised me — the restroom was absolutely spotless and had a very pleasant, fresh smell. It’s a small detail, but it says a lot about how much this place cares about cleanliness and guests’ comfort.
Closer to 7 pm, local guests started coming in, and honestly — I feel a little jealous of them. How lucky they are to have such a wonderful place so close to home!
From now on, every trip to Orlando and back, this café will be a must-stop for our family. Huge thanks to the owner and the chef for such an incredible menu and beautiful presentation. Truly a gem!

Probably the best vegetable omelet I’ve had at a restaurant. Great home potatoes! Good coffee!! Clean. Friendly and efficient waitstaff. Our new go-to breakfast place in/around LP!

DO NOT EAT HERE NO MATTER WHAT. Staple was found COOKED into KIDS pizza INSIDE of the crust. Could have been a major major tragedy, luckily my 3 YEAR OLD spit it out. Management denied any responsibility and was extremely dismissive and disgustingly rude. Never will eat here again

Well, someone finally got a 5 across the board. I’ve never given that, so this place is special. True home cooked breakfast, a variety of foods for each meal & plenty on the cocktail menu, plus Smoothies. Service was great, atmosphere is a touch of country & nice touch of high end without the glitz. Love the bar area, nice home feeling, not a drunk hang out. For those willing to test their food limit, check out the Monster Burger, 7lb total. Watch their FB Page as they show how it’s being built to serve. Love the flair & union of country to upper end menu. I’ll been back to try the other meals. Thank you !

Not impressed. Prices are high, servings are small and the food isn’t all that great. Ordered a cheese steak, that came on a roll that wasn’t any bigger than a hot dog roll and more roll than meat. Also ordered a $15 buffalo chicken pizza to take home and was told the size was about the size of a large but was no where near a large pizza I am accustom to. The crust was awful and flavor no much as we added more hot sauce and ranch at home. Atmosphere was like sitting in an old retail store with a few tables and a couple booths. Decor, not much to say. None. No, I won’t go back.

Really great food with an extensive menu. Had the hotel California burger, wings, side of sautéed mushrooms, and lobster bisque. My favorite thing was the mushrooms!
Can’t wait to come back and try the breakfast, which they serve until 10:30am.

I’ve been there 3 times and the food is very good. Had their soup and 1/2 sandwich lunch special, chicken tenders (a huge serving) and a Philly Cheese Steak Pizza which was great. My hubby had a $20 Wagu Beef Burger and loved it.
It’s nice to have a place that serves outstanding food in Lake Placid just wish they were open on Christmas Eve.
The atmosphere could use a little more TLC to go with the full bar and great menu. Like carpeting and drapes or even valances, which would soften up the diner look it currently has. But that won’t keep me away!

What a great little local gem! I tried the Hollywood Burger — topped with an egg and guacamole — and it was incredible. The beef was perfectly seasoned (which makes all the difference). So many places serve bland patties, but here you can tell they put care into getting the flavor just right. Every bite was juicy and packed with taste.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the staff super friendly, and the prices were very fair for the quality. Definitely one of those spots that makes you want to come back and try everything on the menu. Highly recommend if you’re in the Lake Placid

Never got our food. We arrived just before the lunch rush. We were told they served breakfast until noon. About 11:30 we ordered. We had coffee and waited while 5 tables were seated and served their food. We finally got up and walked out after waiting over an hour. Our waitress seemed nice and told us our food was coming but it never did.

First time there and WOW. 100% inpreased with the service and food was so fresh and all made in-house. So fresh and delicious. Definitely will be going back there. Thanks for a great experience.
