I have to say, reviews with less than 5 stars should be ignored. Twenty Eight Atlantic is a divine experience for those who appreciate the art of good food. While the food far exceeds any expectations, the dining staff all around are kind beyond belief, extremely professional and truly provide a wonderful fine dining experience. This experience is a treat and like no other. You will not regret your visit for any special occasion.

We did the four course and it was very good. The sea glass cocktail was lovely, and the wine list is excellent. The oysters were good, the burrata watermelon salad was very good, the lobster carbonara was excellent, the beef carpaccio was absolutely delicious, the tuna was excellent, the wagyu strip loin was excellent, the duck breast with duck leg cassoulet was excellent, the green apple brown butter mochi was delicious, and the devil’s food whipped ganache was also delicious. We had a table by the window and the view was quintessential cape cod magnificence! And the service was absolutely excellent! If you like fine dining and are willing to pay for it, you will not be disappointed. If you are unsure about that, you might not be satisfied. As a side note on atmosphere, we witnessed a black tie wedding happening outside below us on the lawn overlooking the bay and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen such a stunning bride, just gorgeous, it looked like a shoot for vogue bridal, the entire restaurant was oohing and aahing as she passed by below us, such a magical moment to witness. We wish the new couple, whoever they were, a lifetime of happiness together.

We happily returned to 28 Atlantic this summer because we had an excellent dinner experience last summer for our large party. Besides the great views and service, however, this dinner was disappointing. We had the 7 course tasting and each course was smaller than from the prior year, but more importantly, the food quality and flavors were not as good.

As soon as the oysters course was delivered, we thought there was something odd about it. There was almost no liquid in the 2 oysters and they tasted fishy and slimy. They were obviously not fresh. When mentioned to the staff, the chef did provide a new plate of plain oysters that were fresh and tasty.

Some of us liked the vegetables and egg dish which provided a bit of richness with the egg. The fish course was well cooked and had a mild flavor. Only complaint is that it was barely warm. The beef course was tasty but the portion so small that most of us were not quite full, even after the dessert.

I’m disappointed by this experience. A hallmark of a great restaurant is how consistent the food is from one service to the next. I really hope that the food improves because it’s on such a great property and did have really good food the last time we visited.

We did the 7 course tasting menu. It was phenomenal and did not feel too full after. The views were stunning. Service was too notch. No issues at all. They were accommodating of my allergies. And it’s not often that you can find 7 course vegetarian menus so that was very appreciated. The fried squash blossom with ricotta was my favorite along with the chilled soup. The risotto was just okay but every other dish was absolutely worth trying.

The atmosphere at twenty-eight Atlantic is absolutely stunning, earning a perfect 5 stars from me. The service was also a highlight at 4 stars, making the visit feel polished and professional. While the food was a standard 3-star experience, the combination of the incredible setting and great service made this a very high-quality 4-star visit overall.

Wow — what can I say!
The food here is absolutely amazing — beautiful quality with so much depth to every dish. That said, if you’re the type of person who just shovels food down like you haven’t eaten in a month, this is probably not the place for you. And if you’re looking for a giant plate of lasagna or a massive steak — again, not the place.

But if you appreciate thoughtful, well-executed cuisine that’s beautifully presented, this is heaven. I had so many questions for our server (who was fantastic) about all the different ingredients — every dish was clearly well thought out and crafted with care.

The portions are perfect — exactly what a normal-sized human needs — and every bite is an experience.

5 out of 5 all day long. Highly recommend.

Had a lovely experience here last week. We were the first to arrive for our 5:30 reservation (indoor) and were seated promptly and attentively. Our server was wonderful and he did a great job explaining the menu. We were sat at the corner window seat for 2, best seat in the house! Excellent view! We did the prix fixe menu. Butter poached lobster and lobster carbonara were OUTSTANDING. But then again, everything we had was fantastic. Drinks were awesome as well. It was a great experience and would highly recommend to anyone!

Thanksgiving meal 2025. Exceptional service, gorgeous setting, large variety of food choices. Arrived for 1st seating. Buffet style. Not one item was hot…barely luke warm … squash soup, root vegetables, green beans, mashed potatoes, turkey. You’d think a five star restaurant could keep food hot. Minor criticism … could have used some greenery or decorations to make the buffet area look more festive and attractive. Disappointed.

I was MOH in my best friends wedding and she had a small-ish rehearsal dinner here ( 12 ppl )
The service was spectacular ( be prepared to spend 3-4 hours for the total dinning experience) We had two pre made menus to choose from. I chose the 7 course, chefs choice tasting menu. If your a foodie like me DO IT. The atmosphere is pretty but it feels a little stiff. Maybe they need some better background music. I felt like I was in a library and couldn’t be loud lol

This is a special restaurant, one of the best places to dine in the whole state of Massachusetts. The food is outstanding, the views and setting are even better. We ate in the bar area of the restaurant one night, then out on the veranda the next night, and had amazing experiences on both occasions. I couldn’t recommend twenty-eight Atlantic highly enough. If you want a special meal on the Cape, this is where you go!
