It’s with a heavy heart that I share this review, as this was previously a great spot. In speaking with friends they shared the same experiences unfortunately.
We came in for a last minute date night and were really disappointed.
The atmosphere has gone from a charming historic setting with seasoned locals who care about the food, to a place that is looking like it needs some love…it’s just there. The beautiful bank vault focal point is sadly a storage area, the blinds are warped, and it’s lacking that elevated atmosphere it once had.
Our food was really disappointing.
The shrimp in the shrimp lejon were small cocktail size and rubbery, though the bacon and sauce were good.
The bruschetta special was untoasted sliced fluffy white bakery bread, the butternut squash was raw, the balsamic was poorly drizzled, and there was zero seasoning.
My tortellini special tasted like low quality jarred, the tortellini appeared to be grocery store quality and was overcooked; it was not good. Even the tortellini to-go container (which kids wouldn’t eat anyway) was for sandwiches, not liquid.
The scallop special was ok. The scallops were good but lacked that crisp sear that you would expect. The Cajun polenta (which we were concerned would be spicy or over seasoned) was the texture of firm flan and was very bland.
A disappointing experience but would love to try them again if there’s another rebrand or updates to the quality.

We found this as a lunch spot to meet between Delaware and PA. It’s a nice place and our lunch was great. The chips were surprisingly good. I also enjoyed the salmon wrap and mushroom soup.

Our Saturday afternoon reservation was a birthday lunch for me. We were immediately greeted by a friendly employee and seated right away. Our server, Gena was attentive even though there was a private party in the back room for which she and another server were also responsible. Our food was served promptly and at the proper temperature. Presentation was appealing, portions were generous and delicious! At the end of our meal, Gena brought out a delectable slice of chocolate cake with a lit candle. Her rendition of “Happy Birthday” was sung enthusiastically (and on pitch).
A quaint restaurant with friendly staff, good food and convenient location, Twelves Grille & Café never disappoints us!

This was my first time here and turned out to be a lovely dinner before heading to Longwood Gardens. The location and the fact that it’s an old bank makes the experience very charming. I was immediately impressed by the professionalism of the staff, they were well dressed and exceptionally welcoming. The food was fantastic, I particularly loved the lobster bisque and the blood orange panna cotta for dessert, which were both off menu specials recommended by our server! The fried oysters were great too! For the experience we received I feel it was well worth the money and would definitely make a return visit! Props to the owners and staff, this place seems to be a well oiled machine. I didn’t take any photos because I was too busy enjoying myself!

February 2026 we tried Twelves Grill for the first time. It was a great idea turning a bank into a restaurant. The tables didn’t sit flush with the floor. The service was fast and friendly. The dining room was clean. The food was not prepared to my liking i ask for well done no pink and got red. However the fries were good.

I had the crab cakes and my wife had the rack of lamb, and both were perfectly cooked and delicious. We finished the meal off with wonderful slices of carrot cake and death by chocolate. Our favorite server Mary took exquisite care of us and is always a delight to see whenever we go there. If you’re looking for a relaxing evening out with good food and great service and a wonderful atmosphere, I suggest you pay them a visit.

First, Mary is the BEST servers anywhere. She is friendly knowledgeable and professional. Her knowledge of everything on the menu.
The food is wonderful. I had the seasonal pumpkin spice gnocchi at it was delicious. My wife tried the parmesan crusted chicken (usually gets the wonderful crab cakes) and she enjoyed it. You should always start with the cheese plate, it’s the best. I should mention that we always bring our own wine, but because we dropped in after a day of watching grandkids games, we had a bottle of their wine. It was good and the price was reasonable.
Do yourself a favor and try Twelves.

Stopped for lunch with friends on Saturday. First time and we will most definitely be back. We each ordered something different and all very delicious. The best part was our server. She was the only one there at a busy lunch hour and she was delightful!!

We went there on a Saturday afternoon after a Funeral, we’re not locals. First impression is not the greatest. However our waitress was fantastic and friendly. The food was a 5*. My friend and I had the Chicken sandwich, my wife had the salad and soup and my friends wife had the salad bowl. Between the 4 of us nothing was left on the plate. Highly recommended!!!
