We stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday. The food is excellent, way more than you may expect from a Mexican restaurant in a little town. And it is very reasonably priced. The service and ambience are also great. I would highly recommend to anyone in the area. Ferndale is by itself a great destination, but Tuya by itself is worth the drive.

The food was great. We had the fish(cod tacos). I had the corn tortillas made with fresh masa. My wife had the fish tacos as well with the flour tortillas. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was very comfortable. I only wish they had low tables for us with bad backs and knees. I also wish they had a liquor license to make real margaritas, but the drinks we had were delicious! I would go back and recommend this place for a yummy meal.

Visited Tuyas for the first time while visiting Ferndale. Comfortable, inviting atmosphere. Friendly, competent staff. We ordered the chicken and mole, sopes and fish tacos. The food arrived pretty quickly after ordering, even though they were quite busy. The food was presented well on the plate and tasted very good. I can certainly recommend the three dishes we ate. Great service too.

We had lunch at Tuyas yesterday afternoon and it was amazing! They graciously put together a table for 12 at a moments notice. They thought ahead and inquired if we had children with us and gave them special menus. Service was amazing and food was even better! Our whole group was very impressed with the food and service!

We were looking for a lunch restaurant that had some healthy choices and I’m so glad that we stopped here. They have you chips and homemade salsa once you’re seated. We ordered beer and a mango margarita. The margarita came in a pint glass which was a pleasant surprise. The shrimp ceviche came with chips which was demolished pretty quickly. For the mains my husband ordered the fish tacos. I got the beets, arugula and goat cheese salad with chicken as an extra. It was perfect!

Exquisite food. They have outdoor seating so we were able to dine there with our dogs. Definitely worth going out of your way to check out.

Food was nothing close to authentic, except for the warm beer. Chips and salsa could have been marinara sauce with some onions and maybe cilantro tossed in. It was literally canned tomato sauce with a few chunks. So I knew from there to keep it basic. I drank the warm beer because i didn’t want to chance their ideaof a margarita. The chimichanga was not very crisp for being fried. Mostly beans with a little chicken. Very forgettable.

Best fresh tortilla chips EVER. Our waitress was super pleasant, friendly but not pushy or overwhelming. Everything was the next level up from any other local Mexican restaurant.

The food was a little bland, and the spicy thing my aunt ordered wasn’t spicy at all, she said. But it was ok.
