It’s hard not to love this place on Taylor Street in Little Italy. It has a relaxed jazzy vibe. Food and service are both top-notch. Wine list features selections that are excellent and yet not over the top. Definitely one of our favorites in a city with some great and varied eateries.

My companion had excellent orachietta with sausage and chicken. I had chicken piccata scallopini with fettuccine. Delicious with lemon and capers and garlic! Yum

It takes a certain level of willpower to forego their luscious desserts. It’s almost impossible not to demolish their mouthwatering chocolate lava cake.

I was really excited to try this place but it was disappointing to say the least. Our waiter was rude. The food was bland and overpriced.

Service: The waiter did not greet us he handed us menus and asked what we wanted. We asked for a few minutes to look at the menu. When he returned, I asked him if he recommended anything. He threw his hands up and said “like what what do you want?!?” I asked him to which he would prefer from two pastas and he pointed to one and said “that one!” When our food was out, he set the plates down and we never heard from him again until it was time for the check.

Food: We ordered the veal and pasta shown in the picture. Both were bland and slightly cold. For $75 I thought I we should be able to get some flavor. For what we were served, I think I would be offered better pasta at noodles and company. The only good part of the meal was the bread basket. We didn’t even bother ordering dessert.

I’ve eaten at a lot of Italian restaurants in many cities. But this one was exceptional! White table cloth service with both busboys and waiters. We were exceptionally cared for with each place set cleared promptly. Water glasses were always full. The atmosphere was clean, warm, inviting, and very Italian. The wine list was really great! But the food!!! I had the raviolittini with pear in a mascarpone cream sauce. Holy crap! It was the best thing I’ve had in a very long time! I was so pleased with this meal it’s hard to want to go anywhere else I n the city! The tiramisu did not disappoint! Perfect cream and perfect amount of espresso. Made our date night perfect!

Note:
They do offer gluten free pasta and will substitute it as requested and alert you if other items are not gluten free.

I hadn’t been here in over a decade so I was worried the food wouldn’t be as good as I remembered. The food and service were as good as ever. Both me and my wife’s entrees were cooked to the perfection and the lava cake was to die for. Definitely spring for the valet parking, as finding a spot in the area is near impossible at times. If you’re going on a Friday night, definitely get a reservation. It was packed.

Such a GREAT experience!

My wife and I were visiting Little Italy and after reading the reviews, I could see that Tuscany was the place to go. The staff were amazing and really welcoming and fun to interact. The food is absolutely incredible!

I had read in the reviews to not skip desert, and so we ordered the Tiramisu and their chocolate moues cake, plus a cappuccino and latte. It was one of the best desserts my wife and I have had in a long time.

While we dined indoors, we saw that the outdoor patio was really fun.

Definitely coming back on our next trip to Chicago, Tuscany in Little Italy Chicago is amazing!

I had a fantastic experience at Tuscany on Taylor. I went with my daughter, and the atmosphere was excellent—welcoming, comfortable, and perfect for families as well as a special night out.

We started with the octopus, which was perfectly cooked—tender and full of flavor. The lamb was outstanding, juicy, and beautifully prepared. My daughter had the pasta Alfredo, which she absolutely loved—creamy, well seasoned, and perfectly cooked. For dessert, the chocolate lava cake was the perfect ending, warm and delicious.

I paired dinner with an espresso martini, which was well balanced and expertly made.

Special thanks to Estrella and Alfredo for the excellent service. They were attentive, friendly, and truly enhanced the overall experience.

Highly recommended for a great Italian dining experience in Chicago. I will definitely be back.

We had a great experience with my wife and special needs son. It was his birthday and the server and staff were very friendly and made the time special for him. They brought a piece of cake with a candle and sang to him. The food was delicious and was served promptly. We would eat here again .

Review written for myself reading reviews:

Are you looking for a good place to spend 2+ hours eating multiple courses for a family reunion / birthday / special night?

This will serve you well.

Food: top notch, but not distractingly good

Portions: generous, but not worth talking about. (Everyone left full)

Variety of food options: everything you’d hope for plus a little extra

Service: professional, well executed, but also understated. No pressure to turn tables, or insert themselves in our evening.

It’s been some time since we dined here. I had chicken marsala. We had soup. And dessert. It was a wonderful experience. It’s close enough to downtown to eat here first, and not have to deal with the downtown traffic situation. We went to the theater after dining here. We shouldn’t have waited so long to come back. We will be back.

The garlic bread is really special. The food is like family style food for us. They have a special menu and we love the fried eggplant meat roll. They also have a deck outside. It is very relaxed to sit outside during summer time.
