My companion had excellent orachietta with sausage and chicken. I had chicken piccata scallopini with fettuccine. Delicious with lemon and capers and garlic! Yum
It takes a certain level of willpower to forego their luscious desserts. It’s almost impossible not to demolish their mouthwatering chocolate lava cake.
Service: The waiter did not greet us he handed us menus and asked what we wanted. We asked for a few minutes to look at the menu. When he returned, I asked him if he recommended anything. He threw his hands up and said “like what what do you want?!?” I asked him to which he would prefer from two pastas and he pointed to one and said “that one!” When our food was out, he set the plates down and we never heard from him again until it was time for the check.
Food: We ordered the veal and pasta shown in the picture. Both were bland and slightly cold. For $75 I thought I we should be able to get some flavor. For what we were served, I think I would be offered better pasta at noodles and company. The only good part of the meal was the bread basket. We didn’t even bother ordering dessert.
Note:
They do offer gluten free pasta and will substitute it as requested and alert you if other items are not gluten free.
My wife and I were visiting Little Italy and after reading the reviews, I could see that Tuscany was the place to go. The staff were amazing and really welcoming and fun to interact. The food is absolutely incredible!
I had read in the reviews to not skip desert, and so we ordered the Tiramisu and their chocolate moues cake, plus a cappuccino and latte. It was one of the best desserts my wife and I have had in a long time.
While we dined indoors, we saw that the outdoor patio was really fun.
Definitely coming back on our next trip to Chicago, Tuscany in Little Italy Chicago is amazing!
We started with the octopus, which was perfectly cooked—tender and full of flavor. The lamb was outstanding, juicy, and beautifully prepared. My daughter had the pasta Alfredo, which she absolutely loved—creamy, well seasoned, and perfectly cooked. For dessert, the chocolate lava cake was the perfect ending, warm and delicious.
I paired dinner with an espresso martini, which was well balanced and expertly made.
Special thanks to Estrella and Alfredo for the excellent service. They were attentive, friendly, and truly enhanced the overall experience.
Highly recommended for a great Italian dining experience in Chicago. I will definitely be back.
Are you looking for a good place to spend 2+ hours eating multiple courses for a family reunion / birthday / special night?
This will serve you well.
Food: top notch, but not distractingly good
Portions: generous, but not worth talking about. (Everyone left full)
Variety of food options: everything you’d hope for plus a little extra
Service: professional, well executed, but also understated. No pressure to turn tables, or insert themselves in our evening.
