Very disappointing! They do not provide vegetarian protein options, but you can lift the meat off. Alfredo was light and not creamy.

They also have a nasty attitude about local wines….. only Italy, France or California are good enough.

The spinach dip was good. Hubby liked his dish alright, but said for the price it was not worth it. He had rigatoni bolognaise.

The service was lovely and kind. Watching the chefs cook at the bar was special.

For my vegetarian friends, just meh!

I recently visited Tuscany by Sage & Salt for dinner after making reservations with a friend, and overall it was a really nice evening.

The reservation process was smooth, and our table was ready right on time when we arrived, which I always appreciate. While waiting for my friend, I started with the middleneck clams served in a white wine-style sauce. They were absolutely delicious; tender, flavorful, and served with bread that was perfect for soaking up the sauce.

The table also came with crusty bread and a chunky olive and tomato spread that had great flavor. It paired really well with the bread and was a nice start to the meal.

For my entrée, I ordered the 21-day wet aged USDA Prime Ribeye, which normally comes with mixed vegetables and rosemary garlic roasted potatoes. Instead of the potatoes, I opted for the Saltimbocca Creamed Spinach. The steak was cooked perfectly to the medium temperature I requested; the cook was spot on. However, the ribeye itself surprisingly lacked seasoning and flavor. It honestly tasted like it went straight to the grill without much additional seasoning.

I ordered a Gorgonzola butter with sun-dried tomatoes (I can’t remember the exact menu name), and spreading that on top of the steak definitely helped add some flavor.

The lobster tails I added were good, and the Saltimbocca Creamed Spinach was really delicious… rich, creamy, cheesy, and very flavorful.

The atmosphere was great. I had previously visited this location when it was 600°, and the space is still beautiful. It’s in a great location and has a really nice dinner ambiance.

Overall, the service was excellent, the setting was beautiful, and most of the food was very good. If I return, I would probably try a different entrée, but it was definitely an enjoyable evening.

A lovely, if indulgent, experience. The atmosphere is nice and calm. The food was delicious. We enjoyed the bread service. I ordered the gnocchi with crab and it was fresh and flavorful. Our server Mollie was friendly and attentive. I ended up spending $125 with tip for half the bread service, two drinks, a small salad, and my entree.

Amazing experience at Tuscany Sage and Salt! The Griglia A Legna was delicious, perfectly cooked, and paired great with the mixed vegetables and rosemary garlic roasted potatoes. The sauce took it to another level. Tequila sodas were on point, and the tiramisu was absolutely delicious.

Service was great. All wait staff were very friendly. We ordered bread service for an appetizer. The focaccia stood out as the best bread on the board. For main course we ordered spaghetti pomodoro, and linguini frutti di mare. The pasta dishes were decent. Lemon shortbread gelato was the perfect finish to the meal. This is one of the better upscale Italian restaurant options in Winston.

Overall experience rating was propped up by the atmosphere/vibe; food was 2.5, saved by an excellent salad and house-made pasta. Restaurant has a cool interior/great vibe. Bar area is very nice, along with a very large, nicely appointed outdoor patio with heaters. Valet parking.

Unfortunately, and especially for the price point ($100/pp, one cocktail, one glass of wine each), the food was quite disappointing. The pasta is made in-house, and was very good. Sadly, the meatballs that came with the spaghetti were very dried out and tasteless, and the prosciutto-wrapped prawns that came atop the bucatini were overcooked and rubbery (2 prawns, at $20/prawn). We purposely waited to order salads and entrees a bit after our appetizer, but our salads arrived about 2 minutes after the appetizer via expeditor, creating a bit of space havoc on our bistro-sized table. Entrees were delayed. Very comprehensive wine list. Our server was delightful.

Not sure we will come back. Maybe our experience would’ve been different if we ordered differently…however, we kind of view spaghetti and meatballs (when offered on the menu) as the most basic of all “litmus tests” of how well an Italian restaurant is doing and the answer, for us at least, was “not well”. Insert sad emoji face here.

Fantastic! Starting with the friendliest valet ever! The interior is beautiful, warm and cozy while feeling elegant. It was the perfect place for a business dinner and would be ideal for any special occasion or date night. Molly and Izzy, our servers, were just wonderful. They had great suggestions and were friendly, professional, and attentive. Brandon picked the best glass of wine for me I’ve had in a long while. The lobster ravioli was outstanding with more lobster than I would have imagined. It was also perfectly cooked, sweet and tender. The tuna crudo was delicious and lightly seasoned so the taste of the tuna really shone through. My only regret was being too stuffed to try dessert. Can’t wait to come back!

We visited while this was 600° and we liked that place, BUT we absolutely loved our first experience here!! We sat at the bar (we’re bar people), the service was amazing, the food was above and beyond. I had the gnocchi and my man had the fruitti de mare pasta both were delicious! We started with the grilled artichokes, I do not like artichokes normally but I ate every bit of this. Drinks were top notch! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

The steak was cooked to perfection — juicy, tender, and full of flavor. Truly one of the best I’ve ever had. On top of that, our server Ah’kell was amazing — friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Can’t wait to come back!

We really, really had high hopes for this place. 15 minutes after we had been seated my husband had to go find someone to wait on us.
Bread service and filet were delicious. That’s it, nothing else was edible. My husband’s NY Strip lacked any flavor. Just a simple garlic, salt, pepper rub would have been better than what was served. Asparagus came out cold and they took it off the bill . The creamed asparagus was so burnt (see picture) it lacked any flavor. It was just oily burnt spinach. We had already had to chase down a waiter and sent the asparagus back we didn’t even say anything about the spinach. There was no point. We were just ready to go at that point. For the price we paid we were extremely disappointed . We won’t be back and will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
