My new favorite Steakhouse in Houston! Elegance in every corner, perfect customer service, food is just divine, decor is delightful, I am practically in love with this restaurant!
Beautiful Bar, the dining area is cozy and intimate, private room for 2 for special occasions, perfect place for every occasion.
Special note: when you go to the powder room, outside there is a server with a small cart serving complimentary Champaign, what a beautiful touch!
At the Bar, Luca is your best friend, he is an amazing bartender and knows the menu to the T!
Make sure you make a reservation!
Prices per person are $$$, and they have valet.
Turner’s Cut is the definition of perfect food, service and elegance.
is by far, my favorite new restaurant! I absolutely love the ambiance and aesthetic of this establishment—royalty at its finest with a vintage take.
Upon entry, we was greeted with the upmost respect and hospitality. We were seated soon after, with no wait time. Let’s dive into the food and how beautifully prepared, served, and plated it was—literally chef’s kiss!!
The choice of live music was inviting and soothing. Everything was absolutely perfect. Oh, how I look forward to returning soon ♡♡
We ordered the USDA prime dry aged NY strip loin in medium that arrived cold and was chewy. Definitely not the quality I would expect at a reputable steakhouse. Their Brussel sprouts were classic and lacking flavor. The mushroom risotto and their cocktails were good.
They were nice enough to offer us dessert on the house for my husband’s birthday.
Overall, the experience was not on par with what we would expect from a fine dinning steakhouse.
First, the positive: our server, Najee, was absolutely AMAZING. Attentive, professional, and welcoming—truly the highlight of the evening. The drinks were well-crafted, and the appetizers were enjoyable and set a promising tone.
Unfortunately, that’s where it ended.
The main courses were disappointing across the board. For a restaurant at this price point, the food quality and execution were lacking. The steaks were overcooked, bland, and—most concerning—had a strong fuel-like smell that was overpowering and left a charred taste. We ordered the American NY Wagyu and the bone-in ribeye, and both suffered from this issue. The potatoes served with the steaks were completely cold, and the scallops and risottowere also cold and bland. Temperature and seasoning were consistently off.
It also wasn’t just our table—the table next to us voiced similar concerns. One guest hesitated to complain, but his wife summed it up perfectly: “This isn’t Outback—the food should be prepared as ordered at this price point.”
Overall, I’d give Turner’s Cut 3 stars, and that rating is primarily due to our excellent server. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t rush to return, though I hope the kitchen improves to match the level of service.
