Such a great find! Authentic Indian food in Zihua, offering indoor and outdoor seating. The chicken vindaloo was delicious, and my friend really enjoyed his masala prawns. My mojito was also perfectly prepared. The owner, Vijai, is outgoing and friendly and is great at making everyone feel welcome and comfortable, even if you’ve never tried Indian food. Stop by for a drink and stay for an excellent meal that you can’t get anywhere else in Zihua.

Amazing Indian food in Zihua. Went there with a group of seven and everyone was delighted! The Cauliflower dish was extremely good! But overall the whole dinner was fantastic (shrimp, fish, eggplant…). The owner Vijay was extremely nice and took care of us the whole time. Will definitively come back !

We tried the Mahi Mahi, vindaloo chicken, cauliflower tok and the garlic naan. All were excellent but the spice punch of the tok knocked it out of the park for me! The naan was fluffy with some crispy bits. The cachumber salad, raita and daals were nice, unexpected additions! We were given poppadoms as an appetizer too! We met Vijay and he told us some of his story and we felt very welcome here! We will return this week!

If you’re craving creative and delicious Indian food in Zihuatanejo, look no further! We enjoyed a memorable dinner at Turmeric and Ginger, which offers open-air seating, great cocktails (the best tamarind Margarita) and friendly service. The owner, Vijay, was very attentive and there was an enthusiastic guitar/bass duo providing live entertainment. Do yourself a favor and come here!

Owner Vijay now offers Mexican brunch 9 – 3 on Saturday and Sunday. My husband and I have tried Huevos Rancheros in the Mercado Municipal & at Bananas Restaurant. He raved about the Huevos Rancheros at Bananas Restaurant, but for the both of us this is the BEST Huevos Rancheros we have had in Zihua. Delicious with egg fried to your preference, served on tortillas with black beans, the most delicious chorizo and topped with crema. Served with a side of black beans with grated queso on top, tortilla chips, fresh pico de gallo & a delicious homemade medium verde salsa. We returned for a second time and topped it off with a mouthwatering Watermelon Margarita! A must try Restaurant for incredible flavors.

Turmeric and Ginger is a great spot for anyone craving authentic Indian flavours in Zihuatanejo. The proprietor, Vijai, offers a great selection of dishes, including the Goat (my personal favourite) and delicious samosas. Even though Naan was not on the menu, Vijai kindly prepared it for us upon our request, which went extremely well with the traditional dips. You can’t leave the restaurant without trying the homemade carrot pudding, paired with a hot chai. Overall this was a great experience and we will be visiting again!

Wonderful food and great service! The owner, VJ, is very attentive to guiding menu solutions for various interests dietary restrictions. We had the goat curry, and the lamb curry, and both were absolutely delicious. So great to find this option, makes a nice change. He has a good delivery guy, so you can order to eat in, which makes the great option.

The only Indian restaurant in zihuatanejo was a welcome change from Mexican food for the night. The owner is very hospitable and welcoming. The food was good. We enjoyed the spices and change of flavors. We would go back.
