8/2/23 – I have been here a few times now. I love the atmosphere of this place. The food and drinks are super delicious. I love their fried green tomatoes and get it every time. I have gotten a few different dishes and each time it was super good. The service is always great as well.

I have always had a super positive experience at Tupelo Honey. The barista we had was attentive to our needs and really kind. I usually order the biscuits and cauliflower from the “small plates” menu and both are delicious. I would for sure recommend the biscuits. I come here with my mom and it is always fun. The drinks are always good too.

We went to Tupelo Honey in NC and loved it, so we decided to try it in Virginia Beach as well! Food was delicious!! The English muffins for a cause was yummy ( no pics because it went straight to my belly ), my bf had the harvest bowl with chicken on the side and I had the “for the love of Cobb salad” vegetarian version and it was delicious. Pretty decent sizes and wasn’t too pricey.

Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar is located on Main Street in Virginia Beach Town Center. Some street parking spaces. The free parking garage is adjacent to Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar. You can dine in or the beautiful patio. Great menu options. The salad are really good. Today I ordered the Shrimp Po’ Boy. This is a really neat place to reserve for gathering with family and friends.

I don’t want to say it was good or bad it was okay. I wasn’t the most fond of the Sriracha chicken and waffles in fact most of the chicken there had a flavor I couldn’t quite put my finger on. One of my companions thought it was the cilantro but I don’t normally taste that flavor when it comes to cilantro. Overall most of it was kind of okay but not something I would go for a second time. The sides which included the pimento cheese dip and loaded potato cracklins had a grainy texture to it which while I know why it was there, it was somewhat unpleasant as time went on. However the cast iron pork was excellent and I did enjoy it the most out of the entrees we had. The tortilla soup was ok but the grits with goat cheese was good and the biscuits with jam were amazing. While I would not go back to retry what I tried this time around I am still curious about the more brunch breakfast items on the menu so I may come back a second time to try those.

We ate here for brunch on a Friday morning. The restaurant looked very nice and the food was so good. I had the shrimp and grits and they were some of the best I’ve ever had. The service was great. The restaurant wasn’t very crowded. All around great experience! Highly recommend!

We went here for dinner a few days ago, and we loved the food and atmosphere. I got the Shrimp Po’ Boy with fries, which was delicious, and my fiance got the Honey Sriracha Chicken and Waffles, which was also delicious and full of flavor. The Mac and cheese that my daughter got with her kids meal was so creamy, and the breadcrumbs on top made it even better. Service was fast and our server was very nice. The only problem we had was the secret upcharges. For my son’s kids meal, he ordered the fruit punch as his drink. It is made in house and very tasty, but it was an extra $2 and was not stated on the menu. There was also an extra upcharge for ranch (75¢) and cheese for my daughter’s kids meal burger (I figured there would be an additional cost, but it was never mentioned to us). We didn’t mind the upcharges; it just would have been nice to know ahead of time. The food and drinks were delicious, though, so we will definitely be back to try some of the other options on the menu in the future.

Reservations are a must. Loved the vibe of this place, and the staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. Went for brunch, very good selection of brunch items offered. Drinks were very tasty. Outdoor dining was open this particular day (the weather was beautiful). The location is perfect for sightseeing in Va Beach, close to some shopping centers.

This place was awesome!! Down here for work. We couldn’t check in early so we went here. Chelsea the server behind the bar was beyond amazing. They have a killer local craft beer selection and the food…the food was killer. The pic I posted was the Nashville hot fried chicken over Mac and cheese waffles. Smothered in hot sauce and pickles. Yea diet shot but so worth it!!!
