My go to place for com tam! I think I have found my new fave combo. The char grilled chicken is superb. 10/10. Broken rice with char grilled chicken, egg cake, shrimp cake, and sunny side egg (not pictured)

This place is the best place in Houston to get a Vietnamese Com Tam (broken rice) combination plate. In Com Tam, the rice grains are fractured, and it absorbs dipping sauces such as fish sauce better, it also has a better mouth feel compared to regular rice. The owner is a guy who has seen me grow up from a little kid in elementary school to an adult past 30 years old. That’s how long I’ve been eating at his establishment, back when he operated the original location on Wilcrest. That location also burned down when I was a little boy but re-opened, and I have fond, nostalgic memories of eating there with my family after church. It remained opened for several years until recently closing and now this location on Bellaire is the main and sole operating place. No other Com Tam place in Houston slaps like this. I’ve grown up, moved far away, doing other things but I still make the hour drive to eat here from time to time, this place has a special place in my heart.
Suggestions: Com Tam Bo Nuong, Tau Hu Ky, and Hot Ga (Grilled Beef, crispy skin tofu stuffed with ground shrimp, and a fried egg)
Also, the best Banh Bot Chien (fried rice flour pancake & egg) is also located here. It is the crispiest Banh Bot Chien on Bellaire Blvd. The Won Ton noodles are also pretty good, I used to get it when I had a hangover or a cold back in the day.

Been here a few times but never leave a rating. Today I came back with my wife, me with Bun Nuoc Leo, my wife with Com Tam 6 mon. Both were good! Bun Nuoc Leo nước thanh, vị ngon, hình như thiếu mắm me thì phải. Com Tam is my wife favorite, she always wants this dish. Satisfied overall.

Went on a random week day for the first time and pleasantly surprised. Ordered grilled chicken w rice. It’s was flavorful w that chargrill taste which not all restaurants can get. Same thing goes for the pork w rice . Will definitely be coming back again.
Fun fact: Showed my mom the restaurant and she said they also make Chinese New Years Moon Cake in house as well. Which is true bc I noticed they had boxes of it in the front near their register. Good to know to get it locally and fresh!

It’s alright. The fish sauce is a little sour due to too much lime juice. Also, the lạp xưởng is very dry from being over cooked. The price is ok and portion is reasonable.

This place made a fraudulent changed to my credit card. They made 2 charges to my credit card. The first charge was correct for what I have ordered for the meal. The second charge was fraudulent charge. So, watch out if you use credit card in this place. They are a thief and should be prosecuted.

Came to eat Com Tam (broken rice) number 13 with pork chop. They serve with soup. The meat was perfectly cooked and the rice really good. I am really happy to find this place
