We are in DC for a vacation and a local told us about this restaurant. She said that the restaurant for some decent bar food. The wait staff where awesome and gave good recommendations. We actually came 2 days in a row.

Day 1, I got the wings wearing Buffalo and Old Bay with inside of fries and my wife ordered a bacon cheeseburger.

Day 2, we split a pizza and chicken tenders.

Lots of screens for watching both college football and pro football, warm atmosphere very attentive server, food was good prices a little on the higher side though for mostly standard American fare, good & large selections of beer and liquors. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries.

Good atmosphere and location. Stopped in for breakfast with family. Cocktails were served within 10 minutes of ordering. The servings are plentiful and very tasty. Really enjoyed the French Toast. The smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese w/sweet cornbread reminds me of home. Price point is perfect.

Came for burgers but smelled the pizza and had to have it… it smelled SO good! I ordered a pepperoni. Unfortunately, they brought me out a perfectly cooked cheese pizza, and just took it back and added pepperoni and cooked it more so it was a bit over cooked in my opinion and my partner had his food and I had to wait. Other than that, it was great! Everything was tasty. Service was good. No wait for 2 on a Friday night. I’d go back!

Been here a couple times and it’s always had a great little pub feel with food to match. Always order the fish n chips cuz they have been delicious and can count on a good thing but family has ordered burgers along with other items without disappointment.

Your new menu on Ubereats is terrible. It is extremely difficult to navigate. I have been a consistent customer for years and I do not like the new menu. You can’t get to the sauces or add on’s. Did you eliminate these choices on purpose? I will always be a good customer as I live on the hill. But, the new site is not up to historical Tunnicliff’s standards. Please get it fixed.

I had lunch here for the first time, visiting from Texas, and it was enjoyable. I had the fish and chips which were a little greasy but tasty. My daughter had the seared tuna salad which she enjoyed. My only complaint was the coleslaw was a bit off. It’s almost as if they mixed old salad with the new because one bite would be nice and crunchy and the next somewhat mushy. However the waitstaff was very on point.

A very high quality Guinness and maybe the best crab cake sandwich that I’ve ever had. Great for watching sports too.

This was my first time ordering from here and will be my last. I ordered the steak and cheese with a side of mac and cheese. The bread to steak ratio was insane. The bread is so thick all you taste was bread, so i ended up taking out the inside of the bread. It could’ve used more meat. I would’ve been better off going to jersey Mike’s.

The mac and cheese didn’t look or taste like mac and cheese. Close to no flavor but with a very slight taste of odd sweetness. I needed up throwing it away.

I also order the Ruben which was said to be decent.
