Best poke I’ve had since I was in Kauai! Really fresh fish. Great flavors. Solid portions. Staff was super welcoming and friendly. Will stop in next time I’m in town for sure.

We must have looked like newcomers and were asked if it was our first time here. We were greeted very warmly and sat at the counter/bar. We had a wonderful evening trying two appetizers and two poke bowls. Lots of regulars were picking up their orders. Food was very good, we heard the person in the kitchen pounding the tuna for our carpaccio.
We enjoyed it a lot and will be coming back.

Our expectations for Tuna Kahuna were high, and they were gloriously exceeded. Every dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and artistry. The service was impeccable – Richard was attentive, knowledgeable, and truly enhanced the dining experience. A highlight was the chef’s table, offering an intimate glimpse into the culinary magic. Quan was a gracious host and Chef Clarence was amazing. Tuna Kahuna is a must-visit for any discerning palate

Can’t say thanks enough!! We had some airport troubles and ended up getting rerouted from Canada with a layover in San Fran, can’t say how pleasant of a surprise this getting to eat here was…. Feeling something fresh like sushi or something other we stumbled upon Tuna Kahuna. We were met with absolute comfort and positivity from the one and only Quon (goes by Quonfucius) where he welcomed us in, had our food ready asap and gave me an even better beer than what I had ordered. We had the salmon lovers bowl which one is enough to feed a family (seriously had two meals in one) with humongous, fresh, delicious salmon and avocado pieces and a tasty bed of rice. We got to know the owner while we tried his amazing egg drop miso soup, before he treated us to some of his favorite sake while he told us the story of the restaurant and the area. Coming from Canada on a 32 hour travel day with nothing but frustration this place made our miserable stop into a “we need to come back again” memory. Well done, can’t say how great our experience was. Cheers from Canada!

Every dish we tried was well prepared and delicious! Fish and all other ingredients were super fresh and didn’t need to be dressed with extra seasoning like soy sauce to enjoy it. Service was good and we enjoyed talking with one of the owners Quan who clearly has a passion for his restaurant. They have a special elevated menu on Friday and Saturday nights that we’re looking forward to trying.

My first time here and it was delicious. Kwan(hope I spelled it correctly) was awesome and made you feel welcome. I had the large create your own bowl with 3 proteins and and Ice cold Sapporo to top it off, it was reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend anyone to come check it out when you’re in Burlingame.

Both the signature bowl and the 3 protein DIY were good. Toppings like beets and tangerine slices are less commonly seen. Fish is pretty fresh and good quality. They have dressing for your salad base which is not common either, a nice touch!

Tuna Kahuna is a small spot with really good food and fresh ingredients. The service is solid, friendly and efficient, even when it’s busy. The poke bowls are flavorful and well-portioned, and everything tastes super fresh.
It’s in a busy area, so parking can be tough to find, but the food is definitely worth the stop. A great casual place for a quick, tasty meal when you’re craving poke! ✨

I finally made it to this poke spot I’d been eyeing for years since I saw them on Instagram —and wow, it was worth the wait. I live in San Francisco now and haven’t had the chance to come by, but while back in Burlingame for brunch with friends, I stopped in for a quick bite after brunch. I left absolutely blown away.
First off, the quality and freshness of the fish are off the charts. Every bite tasted like it had just been caught that morning—silky, clean, vibrant. It wasn’t just good for poke; this was easily some of the best sushi I’ve had in the entire Bay Area, hands down. And that includes high-end omakase spots charging over $200 a person. This place is in a league of its own when it comes to flavor, freshness, and soul.
What made the experience even more special was Clarence, one of the owners, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. He treated us to a luxurious bite of salmon belly, and it was divine—melt-in-your-mouth, buttery perfection. You can tell this is more than a restaurant; it’s a place where they treat you like family and show you love through their food. The whole place has a cozy, homey feel, like you’re being invited into someone’s kitchen rather than just ordering food. Clarence and the team clearly care deeply about their craft and their community.
If you’re ever near Burlingame—or even if you’re not—it’s absolutely worth the trip. I left full of joy, appreciation, and with a new go-to spot for when I’m in town. This place is a true gem, and I can’t wait to come back.

Speedy and friendly service! I enjoyed a regular bowl with spicy tuna and salmon, along with different toppings. A heads up that their Wasabi sauce is spicier than other poke places, which I liked!
