A delightful change of pace. We saw the article in the Times and wanted to try out the lahmajo. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We got the cheese and the meat and cheese lahmajo. Wonderful thins crispy crust. Not overdone and very tasty. Our waiter also recommended a beef a vegetable dish that had wonderful spicing and flavor. Excellent food and staff. Atmosphere and layout were great. Go there and enjoy a special meal.

Tun Lahamajo is a fantastic date night spot with great food, warm vibes, and a beautifully updated indoor/outdoor setup. The space feels intimate with wood accents, string lights, and plenty of greenery, while the inside has a charming, classic feel perfect for groups.

The Sea Buckthorn tea was refreshing and comes in a generous pot for two. The Lahmajo was a standout—thin, crispy, aromatic, and amazing with a squeeze of lemon. The Adjarian bread boat with cheese and egg was rich and comforting, and the Ker u Sus offered tender beef with veggies in a flavorful tomato-based sauce. We loved scooping it up with the Lahmajo.

Overall, a delicious and memorable experience—definitely worth trying!

Tun Lahamajo is a great date night spot for foodies and vibes in general. While there were a few hiccups during our visit, I still recommend trying it out. Before the pandemic, this was a pizza place that has since been taken over by a new owner establishing a second location for a well-known eatery in Glendale with the same name. The outdoor seating was updated to offer more parking spaces, while continuing to provide an intimate space filled with warm wood textures, string lights, and lots of greenery. The inside is also well decorated with an old charm to it and more seating for larger parties.

It took a while to be waited on in the beginning, but the food came out rather quickly and in waves that allowed for grazing without our food getting cold. My only major gripe is that they don’t serve tap water. I’d read other reviews that said this and assumed it must have been a temporary issue, but it seems like the owners don’t trust the Burbank water system, which sounds like a legal issue… but maybe they can clarify with a response as to why they don’t offer it? I’d recommend bringing our own water bottle if necessary, or try their citrusy, Sea Buckthorn unsweet tea that comes in a large pot enough for two. Thankfully they do offer their dishes on reusable dishware for those who are looking for a waste conscious dining option.

This was my first time trying Lahmajo, an Armenian style flatbread that’s thin and crispy, with a little bit of doughiness in the middle and burnt edges that come with baking in a stone oven. The ground beef smeared over the top reminded me of minced sausage with aromatic seasoning similar to fennel. They serve it with a wedge of lemon and the acidity pairs extremely well with the flavors. There is a cheese option, but we went without since we also ordered the Adjarian, similar to an Indian kachapuri, which features large amounts of cheese and an egg in a buttery bread boat. My only criticism with this dish is it needs more seasoning and spice, something like sriracha or spicy peppercorn and a hint of acidity, to break up the large amount of fat and bread.

Lastly we ordered the Ker u sus, which reminded me of beef stew in the best way, but with less broth and more sauce. Beef chunks are accompanied by potatoes, sweet peppers, peas, and carrots in a thick tomato sauce. The potatoes are more like fries and are slightly undercooked to give it a bite. The fresh parsley on top pairs really well as expected and we ate it by scooping it up with the Lahmajo.

Very authentic and perfectly prepared lahmajo. Thin crust, balanced meat.
Prices are high with reason I guess, otherwise you have to reserve in a week in advance.

We went to Tun Lahmajo as a party for five today for Sunday brunch. None of us have ever dined inside of the restaurant (some have ordered takeout). The ambience is really nice, liked the mostly wooden decor, and the huge ovens were really cool to see those in action. The place smaller very toasty and nice. We ordered tomato omelette, mushroom omelette, small adjarian, spas with ishli, chmur, emergency beef, as well as some bread. It was our first foray into Armenian food and we all really enjoyed it. My personal favorite was probably the emergency beef. I also had some sea buckthorn tea and enjoyed that as well! Looking forward to coming back to this place sometime in the future.

Bottom line,
Food isn’t consistent at all
Service is just meh
Extremely overpriced for the food quality and service

I’ve been here 3 times. Everything i have ordered the same thing and everything the food comes different.
The first time the lamajoon was filled with meat and very good. The khachapouri was filled with cheese and meat.
The other 2 times, lamajoon barely had any meat on it, and the khachapouri felt like it was just eat bread. Barely any cheese or meat.

Service is ok. But if you are seated outside and need something, you basically need to go inside and tell someone.

I think they just need new management.
I would love eating there again but after 3 times I don’t think I will be coming back

The food was really good. It is fresh and made to order. The lahm ajun was warm and the portion was huge. I ate 2 and I full. The interior is nice and classy. I felt like I was in Armenia. I highly recommend this place. The staff was friendly. There is enough parking and the location is great.

It was so good I came back again!

I absolutely recommend this place, especially for family and group dining.
Great dining experience is guaranteed for thosr who want to taste Armenian kitchen. You can find some Georgian dishes as well.
We walked in for lahmajo and first time in US I found lahmajo I was looking for. The cheese one is amaizing. The meat with special seasoning and the texture of daugh, the level of crispiness were well balanced.
Beautiful interior and very warm atmosphere. It was obvious that every corner of this restaurant was planned and designed with love and attantion to details.
Great and prompt service. Clean. Warm welcone, friendly and customer oriented approach to ordering.
Special thanks to manager Gegham.
Outdoor patio seating is also available.
Nice and festive Christmas decorations created that special mood.
Decent pricing for that type of quality food and overall service.
Soon will go back to try more dishes with friends. From now on this place is on my recommendations list and where I will take my homesick friends visiting LA from other states.
5 starts for all positions.
